A newly unveiled poster for Euphoria season 2 shows Zendaya’s character bathed in light. A hit for HBO, Euphoria was created by Sam Levinson and made its season one debut in 2019 to critical acclaim. The second season was confirmed before the airing of the season one finale, however, production was heavily stunted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming finally concluded in November of this year.

In the new poster shared by the official Euphoria Twitter page, Zendaya’s character Rue Bennett is pictured standing in a ray of light. Looking serene as she faces into the light, the words “remember this feeling” are featured over her shoulder. The long-anticipated release date is confirmed for January 9, 2022. Check out the poster below:

The new poster comes in the wake of the recently released season 2 trailer, which features Rue’s drug relapse and her introduction into the world of drug dealing. Zendaya is joined by returning co-stars Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Hunter Schafer, Barbie Ferreira, Jacob Elordi, Angus Cloud, Sydney Sweeney, and Nika King. New additions to the cast include Dominic Fike, Minka Kelly, and Demetrius Flenory Jr. The Emmy Award-winning series has enjoyed two special episodes since the airing of its first season, which hinted at the new storylines for some of its cast members. Both specials received high praise for the outstanding performances of the show’s castmates, particularly those of Zendaya and Schafer. With showrunner Levinson having already promised a “brutal” continuation of the show, fans undoubtedly have high expectations for the long-awaited second season of Euphoria, which premieres on January 9, 2022.
