All Elite Wrestling continues to take the entertainment world by storm. Off the back of another huge pay-per-view, the company is going from success to success and shows no signs of slowing down. Its wrestlers in particular are quickly becoming stars and many of them could absolutely boast some kind of big-screen potential.

While fans will be well-aware that plenty of WWE wrestlers have made their way to Hollywood, AEW is a much newer company and there have yet to be as many opportunities within the field. Fans definitely think that these performers have what it takes to bring their characters to that next level though and are certainly a credit to the brand as a whole.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Miro

Miro is one of the most talented performers within the company. A former TNT champion and a credible threat to any other star, Reddit users agree that he has massive potential. User Ninjalong has noted how versatile he is, suggesting that “I really like that he’s presented as a monster heel but is still allowed to be funny, entertaining, and vulnerable at the same time.”

Of course, while recently the Redeemer has been absent from TV, fans have already begun to speculate as to why that may be. The charismatic Miro might already be living up to his potential with multiple fans suggesting that he’s already off filming a movie, which wouldn’t be his first film appearance.

Andrade El Idolo

Andrade El Idolo has wrestling in his blood. His performances are always stellar and he’s a master at his character work. It’s easy to see why the Mexican-born wrestler would make it in the world of cinema, considering his natural charisma, good looks, and action-star qualities.

With his recent businessman gimmick and black Lucha mask, fans are actually suggesting he could be great for a familiar DC role. Indeed even Cabes86 said that “I feel like he wants to do this cartel boss gimmick/maybe be black mask from Batman?” Fans have chimed in saying he’d be great for the part, with his character on screen emulating the Gotham villain perfectly.

Malakai Black

Malakai Black clearly has a creative mind for the industry and knows what works and what doesn’t. He has built an image based around the occult and the idea clearly has its roots in indie horror. Fans haven’t stopped making comparisons to some of their favorite films.

Indeed sundaynightheat99 said that “you get the impression that he’s a true horror fan and wants to incorporate the genre’s most spine-chilling elements into his persona.” It’s clear to most that the performer belongs in some kind of terrifying film of his own to really capitalize on his on-screen work.

Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley is the rugged action star who won’t stay down. He’s the everyman and is incredibly popular because of his straight-to-the-point attitude and grittiness. It’s clear that there are countless roles in Hollywood for the performer, perhaps even in the likes of a major franchise like the MCU.

Moxley isn’t even a stranger to the big screen, having appeared in a few projects already. But Reddit fans feel that he really made himself larger than life starting a few years ago, with MatsMyWit saying “It’s amazing how much of a massive star he made himself pretty much from the moment he left WWE.”

Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy has had so many gimmicks over the years and it’s pretty easy to see how versatile he is. While there are plenty of wrestlers who have turned into actors, it seems that Hardy will be staying within the business for a few more years, whether he’s Extreme, Woken, Broken, or representing the AHFO.

Fans like Gas_Station_Poptarts admitted that “Big Money Matt was before it’s time as far as being recognized as great character work,” and that the movie-themed cinematic matches have definitely benefitted from Hardy. The adaptive wrestler could absolutely take these parts to the big screen.

Tay Conti

Tay Conti has all the tools to succeed. With a legitimate judo background, she already brings some great action to the squared circle. But her performances recently and her consistent growth have showcased that there’s no limit to her ceiling. In many ways, the fighter feels like a Bond girl or other major movie star.

Audiences have really been quick to compliment Conti on her talents and what she brings to the table. One thread from an unknown user picked up on the Dave Meltzer comments that “Tay Conti is a freaking star. Everything she does looks good.” It’s packed full of people noting just how incredible she is and how bright her future may be on screen, but even a year ago Looper007 said that “She looks more a star now than she did in NXT.”

Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa has continued to prove herself every time she steps into the ring. She’s one of the most popular wrestlers on AEW TV today and brings with her a really unique gimmick, connecting with her heritage and culture. She’s charismatic, gritty, and totally authentic.

It’s clear that she could bring all of those assets to the world of movie-making if she so wished. Some people have even compared her to the mega-star John Cena with her versatility, while Barbz182 says it best “Considering they started with 0 star power and very little experience… I think they’ve done an incredible job to get where they are.” Rosa has helped to build the women’s division and showcased her capabilities that could be taken to Hollywood!

Darby Allin

Darby Allin has all the tools to succeed. He has an intriguing look, he’s a daredevil, his face completely conveys every emotion needed for a sequence and he has a compelling narrative that he carries with him. His underdog spirit and horror-esque tones would really work on the big screen.

The character actually produced some films on AEW TV himself with bloodshake saying “I really love the black & white short films that often accompany his matches/promos. A lot of his appeal is aesthetic – which is not a rare trait in wrestling – coupled with his brazen, daredevil underdog style.” One other fan said that “Right now Darby is one of the most entertaining wrestlers out there,” it’s clear that there’s star written all over the future Hollywood hero.

CM Punk

CM Punk is arguably one of the biggest stars in the world. It’s no secret that he has made a major comeback to wrestling in recent years, but the performer has always demonstrated that he has the gift of gab. He can produce an emotional delivery with just about any material.

It’s a skill that can’t be taught, with Punk embodying everything needed to make it in the acting world. He’s actually appeared in films before too and on the Starz series Heels, with fans like DGenerationMC saying that “I was able to hate Punk’s character 20 minutes in and reveled in him getting his. Got serious Bruce Campbell vibes. Good start to Punk’s acting career and looking forward to seeing what else he does.” It seems Punk will be able to achieve big in any setting!

Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill is relatively green in the ring but she’s already captured the very first TBS Championship and is clearly on the up and up. She exudes charisma, is a complete powerhouse, and is drawing the attention of fans who called out her potential over a year ago.

Indeed one thread says that “she’s got star written all over her.” jeeprhyme said that “Combined with her look and charisma, she’s absolutely going to be the biggest star in AEW in five years, no doubt.” That’s exactly it, as fans feel that she will continue to capitalize on her achievements and make it big even outside of AEW, perhaps in a cinematic landscape.
