With 4K TVs becoming the new norm in 2021, many streaming services are offering a growing library of 4K titles viewers can watch in the comfort of their own home. It’s as easy as ever to watch movies in the highest definition commercially available, without having to buy 4K Blu-ray players or discs. While Netflix may not offer the same amount of 4K titles as Prime Video, their growing selection offers some great movies and numerous exciting action films.

Many movies on this list are Netflix Originals, showcasing Netflix’s continued release of high-quality content, but don’t forget that viewing these in 4K does require a different subscription package. Nonetheless, these 10 action movies are perfect for viewing in glorious 4K quality.

10 Point Blank

A short but sweet action flick that doesn’t quite hit the mark with storytelling, but certainly does with excitement. An American remake of a French movie of the same name, Frank Grillo and Anthony Mackie star in the lead roles, one a criminal, the other an E.R. nurse. They form a strange relationship and must work together to turn over evidence of corrupt police officers, all the while evading those same cops. What transpires is a dangerous cat-and-mouse game with deadly consequences in this crime-riddled thriller.

9 Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword Of Destiny

This sequel to the critically-acclaimed wuxia film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon follows fierce warrior Shu Lien as she assembles a force of fighters to defend a special sword from a dangerous rival clan.

With a new director and cast, it may not live up to the original, but it still showcases wonderful martial-arts fight scenes and fun, high-flying choreography. Starring Michelle Yeoh and the wonderful Donnie Yen of Ip Man fame, the gravity-defying fights and exciting stunts make up for anything lost in the blasé story.
