Horror parody movies or also known as horror movie spoofs are one of the more exciting mixes of genres wherein scary situations directors like to sprinkle some good old comedy. The combination of the two genres dates to the time of Edgar Allan Poe where he added humor and horror in the mix. There is also the famous saying by Robert Bach, “opposite sides of the same coin” which can serve as the perfect explanation of the two segments.

In the past twenty years, there have been some incredible horror parodies to many all-time classic horror movies such as the Scary Movie franchise, Young Frankenstein, and many more.
