The end of the year has come, which means the conclusion of Warner Bros. simultaneously releasing theatrical films on HBO Max. Due to the impacts of the pandemic, the studio announced last year that they would release 17 major films simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max streaming. It was a bold decision that allowed people to watch the latest blockbusters in the comfort of their homes.

Unfortunately, the experiment has ended as Warner Bros. intends to conduct exclusive theatrical releases from here on. Although the experience was short-lived, people enjoyed these movies in 2021. While some selections received poor reception and were best suited for home viewing anyway, like Space Jam: A New Legacy and Tom & Jerry, other films were also the studio’s best, including sci-fi epics and intriguing biopics.

Although a decent backstory regarding the Soprano family, it does not quite reach the incredible storytelling of The Sopranos.
