10 Fights On The Real Housewives That Went Way Too Far

There are many different kinds of fights on Bravo’s popular Real Housewives franchise. Sometimes two friends try their best to move on from past pain but keep rehashing the same problems. Other times, two cast members get into a huge argument thanks to a misunderstanding. And sometimes, the cast is shocked that two people are upset over a small disagreement that doesn’t seem to matter at all.

One thing is for sure: fans of the Real Housewives definitely expect some big fights when watching any of the most beloved cities in the franchise. While the stars are often justified in having hurt feelings and speaking their minds, there are moments when the fights are too intense and wild.

10 RHOBH: Lisa Rinna Throwing The Wine Glass In Amsterdam

While season 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has many fights about Erika Girardi’s divorce, there was a fight back in season 5 that went way too far.

One of Lisa Rinna’s worst RHOBH decisions is when she threw a wine glass at a super nice restaurant in Amsterdam. Lisa and Kim Richards got into such a bad fight that Kim said she knew a secret about Lisa’s husband Harry Hamlin, and Lisa reacted strongly. Kim and Lisa could have put the breaks on this fight and gone outside to talk about it quietly, but things got too heated.

9 RHOA: Kim Said NeNe Hurt Her

The Real Housewives of Atlanta once featured the close friendship between Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes, but as time went on, the two stopped seeing eye to eye.

Kim and NeNe talked about a terrible fight that allegedly turned physical. According to OK!, Kim said that NeNe “choked her out” and said that she hurt NeNe’s finger. Fans didn’t see this fight, but it sounds like one of the most intense ones in the entire franchise, and the two didn’t become pals again.

8 RHOBH: Kim And Kyle’s Limo Argument

At the end of season 1 of RHOBH, fans watched the difficult and fragile relationship between sisters Kim and Kyle Richards disintegrate. As they sat in a limo, Kyle called Kim a “liar” and an “alcoholic,” even calling her “sick.”

It makes sense that siblings aren’t going to get along all the time, but this fight felt too intense. This fight has become infamous as it was the moment when Kyle called her sister out for drinking. But even though Kyle came from a good place and wanted to help Kim, her words were harsh and this wasn’t the right way to approach the situation.

7 RHONY: Bethenny And Kelly’s “Scary Island” Scene

Fans of The Real Housewives of New York City can all recall the season 3 episode when the cast went to St. John and had anything but a fun, relaxing vacation full of bonding moments. Instead, Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Bensimon got into a screaming match.

Kelly’s Scary Island quotes are as well-known as they are confusing. While Bethenny asked Kelly to go to bed, Kelly ranted about being terrified of Bethenny and also talked about jelly beans. Even though this was an entertaining episode, it’s fair to say that the evening became so chaotic that it just made no sense.

6 RHOC: Kelly And Shannon’s Fight At The ’70s Party

When friends gather at a party, it’s probably not a great idea to bring up someone’s marriage troubles. But that’s exactly what Kelly Dodd did during Shannon Beador’s ’70s party on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

In this season 11 episode, Shannon’s friend Jaci said that Kelly and her ex-husband Michael separated and Kelly had a boyfriend during that time. Shannon asked Kelly if she cheated on Michael and Kelly felt that Shannon was trying to hurt her on purpose. While both cast members were in the wrong, Kelly took the fight way too far when she said it made sense that Shannon’s husband David had an affair. There was no way to save this evening.

5 RHOP: Candiace And Monique’s Physical Fight

Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Potomac featured a lot of discussion over Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard’s physical argument. Candiace pressed charges against Monique and Monique counter sued as she said she was acting in self-defense.

The courts in Montgomery County decided to dismiss this case, but the impact definitely lives on. The two cast members were upset with each other because Candiace was friends with Charrisse Jordan Jackson, who used to be on the reality show, and Monique said that Charisse was telling everyone that Monique and her personal trainer were involved.

4 RHONJ: Jackie Brought Up Gia When Fighting With Teresa

The Real Housewives of New Jersey has featured many fights over the years, and they typically involve Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga. In season 11, the main argument was between Teresa and Jackie Goldschneider. There are some fights that Real Housewives fans predicted, but this one was definitely shocking.

While Teresa was wrong to say that Jackie’s husband Evan was unfaithful, Jackie took the argument to another level by suggesting that Teresa wouldn’t like it if a rumor was spread about Teresa’s daughter Gia doing drugs. No one wants to hear an analogy about their child, so Jackie didn’t need to bring this up.

3 RHONY: Aviva Insulted Ramona And Sonja

The season 5 RHONY trip to St. Bart’s was basically doomed from the start. Aviva Drescher didn’t want to go on the vacation and kept saying that she had asthma and couldn’t fly. When she did arrive, she said to Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan “You’re both white trash, quite frankly.”

There was no reason for Aviva to be so rude and offensive, and it felt like there was no way that this trip could be peaceful or enjoyable for anyone. Ramona wasn’t happy that Aviva’s husband Reid and Carole Radziwill’s boyfriend Russ were on the trip, too, as she felt that it should be just the friend group. Ramona had a right to her feelings and Aviva didn’t need to insult anyone.

2 RHONJ: The Christening Fight

The season 3 premiere had one of Teresa’s biggest arguments on RHONJ. When Teresa showed up to the christening for Melissa and Joe’s son Joey, Joe referred to her as “garbage” and before fans knew what was happening, there was a horrible physical fight taking place.

Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga went after each other and it was scary to watch as they seemed to have such hatred for each other. No matter how much family tension was there, there was no reason for violence, and it was awful that this fight happened during what was supposed to be a happy, celebratory time.

1 RHONY: Ramona Talked About Bethenny’s Daughter

There have been many moments when Ramona and Bethenny didn’t get along, the most glaring one being during season 9. Ramona talked about Bethenny acting in an adult movie years ago and asked, “Has anybody approached your daughter? Have you explained to her the situation?”

There was no real reason for Ramona to bring this up, but if she was going to mention it in casual conversation, she didn’t need to talk about Bethenny’s daughter. It was no wonder that Bethenny was so offended.
