As the 26th season of the hit ABC reality show The Bachelor comes to a close, many fans are turning to Twitter to process the chaos they’re seeing on-screen. Since it is such a high stakes show in which people show up in a competitive environment to find love, emotions are everywhere, resulting in some pretty hilarious facial expressions that lend themselves to memes.

One great thing about memes from The Bachelor is that a lot of them do not require more than general knowledge of the premise of the show to have a good laugh. It’s fun to be a part of the cultural zeitgeist and appreciate a good meme without needing all of the details from current bachelor Clayton’s season.

10 Not The Creepy Guy From The Bar…

This image was captured after the contestant on the left, Gabby, almost left the rose ceremony, which would have made the other contestant Rachel the last one standing in Clayton’s controversial season. While this may seem ideal for someone on The Bachelor, Rachel reaches out to Gabby seeming relieved to not have to deal with immense drama on her own.

However, this tweet from @bachelorcomment is hilarious from the facial expressions alone. This image has been memed multiple times since the finale aired, but this caption is too relatable for women who have found themselves trying to enjoy their friends at the bar when all of the sudden they’re being cornered by the creepy guy.

9 McDonald’s Napkins

It would make sense to think that a show as highly produced as The Bachelor, funded by ABC and Warner Brothers, with such emotional subject matter would have a decent tissue budget. Well, apparently not. When current contestant Rachel was balling her eyes out, viewers at home were distracting by the one cheap napkin she kept using to wipe her eyes.

Several tweets have come out calling out the brown napkin and trying to decide if it’s from Wendy’s, Taco Bell, or even an elementary school bathroom. This tweet by @dude_watch_bach says it best, blaming an intern for messing up a tissue emergency and brining McDonald’s napkins instead.

8 Competing For Love

Here is a prime example of only needing to know the premise of The Bachelor to keep up with the memes. Most people who have barely even heard of the show know that it entails several people showing up to the Bachelor Mansion to date the same person who in the end will pick one person to propose to.

That is why many on Twitter were quick to catch one of the contestants speaking out against competing for love even when though that is technically the exact premise of the show. While she is understandably caught up in her emotions, it’s funny to have someone like @jordyn44107539 chime in with the obvious.

7 Women’s History Month

Some women are not thrilled about having a dramatic season of The Bachelor ending in March, Women’s History Month, of all months. While this may always be the case for some viewers when it comes to this reality TV hit, it is especially the case this season as the final three women are put through the emotional ringer pretty intensely.

Multiple women on Twitter pointed out when the current Bachelor Clayton was pretty mean to a contestant in an episode that aired on International Women’s Day. Then there is @amandaeobrien who puts it plainly that she is not her ideal version of Women’s History Month programming.

6 Wrong Answers Only

This image and quote are being memed pretty heavily, and it’s clear as to why. From the “over it” expression on Gabby’s face to the crossed arms and the choice of language? This is a whole mood. No one likes asking a question straight from the hard and getting an answer that hurts and is difficult to deal with.

What was the question she asked? What answer did she get? It doesn’t matter at all to see how hilarious this is. Anyone who sees this meme can think of an example of being this disappointed in someone. For @theREALemgrasso, it’s her boyfriend’s lack of understanding that Taco Bell is better than food at home.

5 A Broken Machine

Here is another example of Bachelor memes being more about McDonald’s than they are about The Bachelor. While Clayton’s season is not required prior knowledge for this meme, it is important to know that when trying to order anything with ice cream at McDonald’s, customers will hear nine times out of ten that the machine is broken.

It’s pretty common to see tweets that reference a McDonald’s broken ice cream machine, and @thartman31694 was not about to let this moment go by. This moment of desperation from Clayton in which he exclaims “I’m so broken,” will remind any fast food fan of a drive-thru disappointment.

4 Bamboozled

Anyone who has not watched The Bachelor may have at least caught one of the commercials that advertises the most dramatic season, most dramatic episode, most dramatic breakup, or most dramatic finale “of all time.” One of the flaws of the Bachelor franchise is using heightened language, especially its overuse of everything being “the most dramatic of all time.”

Recent episodes were once again sold this way to viewers, and while there was certainly some drama, a lot of the content felt like more of the same. This tweet from @TheBachBabes sums up this audience mood with the infamous, hilarious Ja Rule Fyre Festival tweet that everyone can appreciate.

3 Gossip Girl?

The only information needed here is that the “Women Tell All” refers to an episode near the end of a season of The Bachelor in which all the women who left or were eliminated before the final four gather to discuss the drama of the season. It typically ends up being full of Bachelor clichés  like emotional fights and drama. Sometimes there is resolution, but not often.

This hilarious image gets used a lot for The Bachelor because of how often the show encourages contestants to speak about trauma or because of ways you can see contestants who are struggling projecting their issues onto others. It’s hilarious seeing the Gossip Girl title switched around, and @wepopchampagne put it to great use for the “Tell All.”

2 Boyfriend Who Hasn’t Watched The Bachelor

While some significant others enjoy watching The Bachelor together, others wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole. It may be tempting for some viewers to try to explain stories or convoluted plot lines or fights, but often it is just too much drama involving too many names for a non-viewer to remember.

Luckily, the memes are more accessible than trying to explain the show itself. Here, @finalrosebabeee perfectly encapsulates what it can feel like going through the trouble of trying to explain an entire episode of The Bachelor. The crazed look of the classic Charlie Day meme probably looks familiar to non-viewers who have been on the receiving end of an explanation attempt.

1 See You Tomorrow!

A major part of The Bachelor franchise is its two night events. They will have two night premieres, two night finales, and the “Women Tell All” will typically premiere on one night of a two episode week. While some fans love it, others love to hate it, because they know they will come back even if part of them doesn’t want to.

Anyone who has ever enjoyed a show with an emotional two parter, or even anything with a cliffhanger can understand the sentiment expressed in this meme of Larry David from Curb Your Enthusiasm. This tweet by @shaytrumbleXo conveys what a lot of The Bachelor audience is thinking after part one of the finale, and may may others glad they choose not to keep up.
