Disney and Marvel are largely connected nowadays, thanks in no small part to the fact that Disney+ is working on the Marvel shows belonging to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, even before that happened, these two large fandoms had a great influence on popular culture and were beloved by millions of fans.

It’s therefore only natural that some of the fans asked themselves the question: What would my favorite superhero look like as a Disney princess? And then they came up with a fan art as their answer. There are thousands of imaginative fan drawings online but here you can check out 10 of Marvel superheroes reimagined as Disney princesses.

10 Captain America As Snow White

The connection between Captain America and Snow White is obvious when we think about it. Both spent a long time sleeping and woke up in new circumstances. True, Captain America wasn’t awoken by a kiss from a handsome prince, but his circumstances make about as much sense. Snow White looks positively badass in the full Captain America uniform, holding his mighty shield and ready to strike down her enemies.  It’s also obvious from her lean but still athletic figure that she trains hard and is strong and powerful. Plus, the red, white and blue combo suits her otherwise pale complexion. Robby Cook’s Captain America is definitely someone we can rely on.

9 Thor As Rapunzel

Thor is well known not only for his remarkable fighting skills but also for his shining and long blonde locks. At least until he loses them in Thor: Ragnarok, courtesy of another brilliant Stan Lee cameo. He’s sometimes called Goldilocks by other Avengers in fan work, most notably Tony, so it makes sense for to reimagine him as a Disney character with amazing hair. Michael Baxter makes him look stunning here, even though such long hair might present a problem in a battle for anybody else, Thor makes it work. Plus, the frying pan serving as a worthy substitute for his hammer is definitely a nice touch.

8 Iron Man As Jasmine

This positively beautiful fan art shows Iron Man as princess Jasmine from Aladdin. Besides the small similarity in their appearances – both are dark-haired and brown-eyed – at least in some iterations of Iron Man (Tony Stark originally had blue eyes) – what connects them most are their characters.

Jasmine and Tony are resourceful, independent and highly intelligent, with adventurous spirits. Strictly speaking, theirs is a good match and Tony’s transformation into Jasmine makes sense. As for Christopher Stoll’s fan art, it’s perfect, from the top of Jasmine’s complicated hairdo to the light shining in the palm of her hand.

7 Spider-Man As Jasmine

Let’s go back to Jasmine for a moment, shall we? The same characters traits that connect her to Tony Stark aka Iron Man are also the traits Jasmine shares with Peter Parker known as Spider-Man. Except that Peter and Jasmine are even closer in age than Jasmine and Tony. This fan art from “Zoe’s art” looks like it was done by pencils and is a great example of the fact that you don’t need fancy artistic tools to create an amazing piece of work. This Jasmine looks like she’s ready to start swinging around New York, helping people and fighting villains and having the time of her life while she’s doing it.

6 She-Hulk As Belle

Most people enjoyed Emma Watson’s portrayal of Belle in Beauty and the Beast but somehow, this version is even more exciting. She-Hulk might not be as well-known as her more famous cousin Bruce Banner, especially for those who only watched the films and haven’t read the comic books, but she’s every inch as awesome. She and Belle share a lot of similarities, mostly their love for knowledge. She-Hulk, in civil life known as Jennifer Walters, works as a lawyer and is very educated but also funny and independent. Renee Ruben’s fan art manages to show the joy with which Jennifer/Belle looks at the world around them.

5 Black Widow As Ariel

As the only female in the original Avengers team in MCU, Black Widow is more than capable of holding her ground alongside her male co-fighters and superheroes. Natasha Romanoff kicks ass and her solo film which will premiere in cinemas later this year couldn’t possibly come too soon. As for this fan art, Black Widow is a bit more jaded than Ariel but they’re both brave and have kind hearts, even though Natasha might not show it too often and only to those closest to her. And of course, they’re both redheads, which makes this transformation by OptimusBroderick83 perfectly understandable and natural.

4 Black Widow As Merida

True, Natasha has been in this article before but she deserves a bit more space, especially considering her tragic sacrifice in last year’s Avengers: Endgame. While the similarities between Black Widow and Ariel are debatable, Natasha and Merida from the film Brave are a great match.

Merida is determined to make her own destiny and won’t let anybody stop her. Plus, she knows that you need to love yourself first before you can find your partner. It’s true that Merida prefers using bow and arrows while Natasha is more of a hand-combat and guns type of girl. But she’d probably learn how to use bows in no time since Hawkeye is her best friend. Nick Perks’ version of this character captures this perfectly.

3 Hawkeye As Merida

Speaking of Hawkeye… Clint Barton and Merida are a great match. Both are brilliant at handling bow and arrows, piercing the hearts of their fans as surely as the Cupid would. Plus, they won’t allow anybody to mess with them and tell them what to do. No, these two have their own minds and aren’t afraid to use them. Physical differences aside, mashing up Hawkeye and Merida no doubt brings interesting results, as Emma Mulcahey demonstrates. The only remaining question is: does Merida better with fit Hawkeye or Black Widow? The answer is difficult and it would probably be a draw… or solved by a drawn arrow.

2 Wasp As Snow White

Snow White has already appeared on this list, but this time, another iconic Marvel superhero became her. Wasp, known also as Janet van Dyne, appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the mother of Hope van Dyne and was played by Michelle Pfeiffer. However, she played a much bigger part in the comics where she and her husband Hank Pym were the co-founding members of the Avengers. Wasp is loyal to her friends, a brilliant fighter, and always has a kind word for those who need it. And just like Snow White, she’s not afraid to fight for what she believes in. Robby Cook, again, makes good choices.

1 Avengers

Finally, let’s close this list with a whole team, the most iconic superhero team of all Marvel teams (sorry, X-Men). Robby Cook saves the day again as the whole Avengers are transformed into Disney princesses. We can only hope this team will get along better than their MCU counterparts. After all, no one wants to experience another Civil War or Infinity War. Unsurprisingly, Captain America/Snow White leads the team and the other heroes cover his back, from Doctor Strange to Captain Marvel. This is a team-up no viewer has seen on the big screen so far but it would definitely be an interesting experience. Avengers Princesses… assemble!
