Over a year passed with not much exciting hitting theaters in 2020 and early 2021, but by the time summer came, major releases started premiering again. And the best is yet to come, as the fall months in 2021 feature some of the biggest releases to hit theaters since 2019. These include franchise hits and a few long-awaited revivals as well.

While some of the upcoming movies will get side-by-side streaming releases on HBO Max or similar services, others will be theatrical exclusives as Hollywood tries to rebuild the theater experience once again. The fall movie season typically starts in September and lasts until the pre-Christmas releases, and its more stacked than ever in 2021.

10 No Time To Die (October 8)

No Time To Die is the 25th James Bond movie, and this movie has been a long-time coming. The anticipation is high for No Time To Die because the filming was completed in 2019, with the title released in August of that year. The original release was November 2019, but the Bond sequel was delayed multiple times before finally moving to October, where No Time To Die will finally arrive, only in theaters.

9 Venom: Let There Be Carnage (October 15)

The sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage will hit theaters on October 15. There were rumors of another delay for the Spider-Man spinoff movie, but those rumors were squashed by Sony, and it will still hit in fall 2021. The movie sees Tom Hardy return as the antihero Venom as he will battle Woody Harrelson’s Carnage.

This is a movie that was supposed to come out in fall 2020 but was delayed along with almost every other major release to 2021 and 2022. The movie will be a theatrical exclusive, as Sony is not connected with a streaming service for a day-and-date co-release.
