The world knows Meghan Markle as the Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry’s wife, and for her incredible philanthropy work. Recently, Markle gave an in-depth interview with Oprah Winfrey about the difficulties of royal life and why she and her husband left it behind.

But before Markle married into the royal family, she was an actress most known for her role as Rachel Zane in Suits. Some of Markle’s earliest acting roles go back to 2002 when she was a guest star on General Hospital but her filmography continued to grow as she won bigger roles over the years.

90210 was a reboot of the ’90s classic, Beverly Hills, 90210. It centers around a family who moves to the wealthy town of Beverly Hills from Kansas where the kids need to adjust to life at West Beverly Hills High. The reboot lasted five seasons before being canceled.

Markle starred in two episodes in the first season as a student named Wendy. Wendy stirred the pot when she was caught in a car with Ethan, and Annie saw the whole thing.

9 Fringe (2009)

Fringe was created by J.J. Abrams and starred Joshua Jackson, Anna Trov, and John Noble. The science-fiction series follows the FBI’s Fringe Division as they team up with scientists to work on cases based on alternate universes. The series ran for five seasons.

Markle was in two episodes in the second season as Junior FBI Agent Amy Jessup. Seeing Markle nail her role as an FBI agent proved that she had what it took to make a convincing lawyer in Suits.

Remember Me is a romantic drama starring Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin. The plot centered itself around Tyler (Pattinson) and Ally (de Ravin) and how their home lives influenced their relationship. The ending of Remember Me was a huge plot twist because viewers find out it’s September 11, 2001, and Tyler is in his father’s office in the World Trade Center when the attacks began. The ending is devastating.

Markle was in a short scene as a bartender, serving Tyler a drink.

7 The Boys And Girls Guide To Getting Down (2011)

The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down was a TV movie about SoCal nightlife. The entire movie takes place on one night in LA and Markle plays Dana, a party girl trying to make it in the city. According to Cosmopolitan, the movie may make a comeback to screens as it also stars New Girl’s Max Greenfield and Adam Pally.

6 Horrible Bosses (2011)

Horrible Bosses was a huge success, starring legendary actors like Jennifer Aniston, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, and Jason Bateman. The film focused on three characters and their desire to teach their horrible bosses a lesson. Of course, their mission goes totally awry, which adds to the hilarity.

Markle made a quick appearance at the beginning of the movie as a delivery girl. She hands Kurt a package and flirts with him a little before leaving the warehouse.

Suits is by far Markle’s most popular and well-known project. She starred as Rachel Zane for 108 episodes before leaving the series to start a new life with Prince Harry.

Zane was an attorney at Spencer Litt and the wife of Mike Ross. Her connection to both Mike and Harvey Spencer made her a star on the show. Her legal transformation throughout the series was inspiring. The series was nominated for nine awards and won Gina Torres an Imagen Award in 2018.

4 Dysfunctional Friends (2012)

Dysfunctional Friends centers on a large group of friends who lose one of their own unexpectedly. They reunite at the estate of their deceased friend to reconnect and work through past issues. The movie starred Stacey Dash, Tatyana Ali, Wesley Jonathan, and Megan Good.

Markle played a photographer named Terry who shot pictures for the character Stylz. Terry tried making the pictures wholesome but found them too raunchy to be shown in the Sunday paper.

When Sparks Fly is a Hallmark romantic drama that Markle was starred in.

Portraying Amy Peterson, she heads home to her small hometown for the Fourth of July. She bumps into Hank, her ex, and they’re reminded of all the feelings they once shared. But it’s shortly after that Amy realizes Hank is engaged to her former best friend. As the movie transpires, Amy realizes her love for Hank was stronger than her love for her career, which sends her on an emotional spiral. But the question is, does Hank love her back? With the help of the handbook, Cass tries to pick between both men. They were both different in ways that Cass was looking for but she was basing love off a checklist. Hallmark fans can find the movie on Amazon Prime.
