The show Love is Blind premiered on Netflix in February of 2020. This reality dating show puts a new twist on the classic format. The people participating in this show never get to see the person they’re falling for, until after they are engaged. The series became an instant success not just for the drama, but more so for the fact that it was an incredibly interesting experiment to watch.

Fans loved seeing which couples made it to the altar and said I do and which ultimately weren’t meant to be. A lot of movies, specifically romantic comedies, have touched on this idea and imagined what it would be like to fall for someone you’ve never met, but to see it happening in real life was even more entertaining.

This romantic comedy starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan has a lot of similar themes to Netflix’s Love is Blind. What fans got the most excited for was seeing all of the proposals on Love is Blind. After the first two or three episodes, everyone started figuring out who they had a connection with and the guys started getting down on one knee.

It was equal parts exciting and awkward, considering the couples getting engaged knew very little about one another and if enjoy watching moments like that, you will surely love The Proposal, starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.
