The show Love is Blind premiered on Netflix in February of 2020. This reality dating show puts a new twist on the classic format. The people participating in this show never get to see the person they’re falling for, until after they are engaged. The series became an instant success not just for the drama, but more so for the fact that it was an incredibly interesting experiment to watch.

Fans loved seeing which couples made it to the altar and said I do and which ultimately weren’t meant to be. A lot of movies, specifically romantic comedies, have touched on this idea and imagined what it would be like to fall for someone you’ve never met, but to see it happening in real life was even more entertaining.

10 You’ve Got Mail

This romantic comedy starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan has a lot of similar themes to Netflix’s Love is Blind. In this movie, Meg Ryan’s character, Kathleen Kelly, meets Tom Hanks’ character, Joe Fox in an online chatroom and the two begin exchanging emails and falling for one another, without ever meeting in person, or so they think.

Kathleen and Joe do know each other in real life but don’t realize they’ve been falling in love over emails.

9 Sleepless In Seattle

This is another romantic comedy starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. The chemistry these two actors have on-screen is undeniable, which makes watching these movies even more enjoyable for their fans.
