Tangled is another Disney classic and a fantastic princess movie that is all about escapism and wanting to change the world that the characters live within. Rapunzel is much like Jasmine, trapped inside a location, and while their circumstances are certainly different, the movies are about them wanting to explore.

However, they’re both very vibrant and positive films overall that feature many of the greatest songs that Disney have ever created. With infectious and fun sidekicks and strong male and female leads, Tangled is really is a perfect film for Aladdin fans.

2 The Emperor’s New Groove (2000)

One of the big reasons that Aladdin is so great is purely down to how funny the movie is. From start to finish Aladdin is packed with great laughs and that is something that The Emperor’s New Groove also brings to the table, with some amazing moments.

Whether it’s Kuzco, Kronk, or even the villain Yzma, they all bring something totally different to the film with great comedy. Plus, the whole adventure aspect of the film is also really strong, which is why it’s so engaging throughout, really pushing a positive message of not judging people, which is something that Aladdin also teaches.

1 Sinbad: Legend Of The Seven Seas (2003)

While Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas is more action-packed than Aladdin, it is just as enjoyable, featuring great elements of mystique and intrigue. The story is superb, with Sinbad being framed over robbing the Book of Peace, he is a very similar character to Aladdin.

His journey takes him across the world to actually recover the book in order to save Prince Proteus, and the quest is an incredibly exciting one throughout. There’s plenty of highs and lows on what is a real emotional rollercoaster, which creates a tremendous movie.
