WandaVision has taken the world by storm recently, with the brilliant Disney+ series receiving rave reviews. Its unique blend of genres has proven to be a real hit, and there truly isn’t another show like it of its kind.

While many fans of the MCU might have gone on to watch other Marvel-related shows such as Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D or Daredevil after watching WandaVision, aside from the superhero aspect, they’re quite different shows. But outside of the MCU bubble, what shows share a lot in common with the Disney+ hit?

10 This Is Us (2016-)

This Is Us is an absolutely brilliant show that really does focus heavily on family life and the different relationships within it, which at its core, is exactly like WandaVision. While it doesn’t feature any action scenes or superheroes, it is a gripping drama that has a lot of ups and downs, with plenty of twists to keep viewers interested.

One of the big reasons that fans of WandaVision would enjoy this show is simply because of how much comedy is mixed in. There are very serious and dramatic scenes, but they’re well-balanced with some hilarious moments too.

9 The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-1966)

WandaVision is heavily inspired by a lot of shows from the past, and one of those is The Dick Van Dyke Show. This series, which obviously stars the incredible Dick Van Dyke in the lead role, is an excellent comedy that provides a lot of laughs.

Focusing on the life of Van Dyke both at home and at work, this series proved to be an incredible hit upon its release and is one that WandaVision fans would enjoy. While it doesn’t have the tension and secrecy of WandaVision, it certainly has a very familiar tone.

8 Malcolm In The Middle (2000-2006)

Malcolm In The Middle is a show that the entire family can enjoy, just like WandaVision. The show is all about family life, which is similar in tone to the Disney+ series once the twins are born, and the way the two shows are shot is also similar.

The fact that one of the WandaVision opening segments was shot in the same way that this series was showcases just how similar the two are, which is why fans of the MCU series would enjoy this one, with the comedy throughout keeping everyone entertained.

7 Black Mirror (2011-)

Because every episode of the anthology series Black Mirror is different, not every single one is going to be enjoyable for fans of WandaVision. However, a lot of it will be. The reason Black Mirror has thrived so well is because of its total mystery, with each episode keeping its audiences guessing until the very end, and sometimes even after that.

The reason WandaVision has been so popular is because of the suspense that it provides. There are twists and turns that people don’t see coming, which is why they would enjoy Black Mirror. Plus, Black Mirror tends to really push the boundaries when it comes to technology and thinking about the future, which ties in well with the technology shown within this MCU show.

6 The Boys (2019 – )

While this show is more mature in its content than WandaVision, The Boys is another show that fans of WandaVision would like. Of course, one of the best aspects of WandaVision is the superhero element, with the different powers at play keeping the audiences watching.

That is why The Boys would be a good show for WandaVision fans. However, much like WandaVision, this is another superhero series that has a twist. It’s much more darkly humorous than standard superhero fare, and some of the “heroes” are actually villains in real life.

5 Heroes (2006 – 2010)

Another great superhero series that isn’t done in a classic manner is Heroes. This show was very popular during its early run, and it features a great range of characters with a real variety of superpowers across them. The reason this series did so well is that it gave superhero powers to ordinary people.

There aren’t heroes running about in suits with capes, as is the norm for these types of shows, but that’s what makes it so gripping. Much like WandaVision, there’s plenty of mystery going on with this show, which has some big shocks throughout the entire series.

4 Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina (2018 – 2020)

This popular Netflix series is one that brings a little more action than some other options, which is what makes it similar to WandaVision. While the Disney+ show can be very funny, there are also some really dark moments in amongst it, which is why people would enjoy Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina.

Kiernan Shipka has a commanding performance in the series, and there are some great battles throughout.

3 A Series Of Unfortunate Events (2017 – 2019)

The family aspect of WandaVision is something that makes audiences really connect with it, and that is why A Series Of Unfortunate Events is also a similar option that people will enjoy. Following the death of their parents, the show follows the three Baudelaire orphans as well as Count Olaf, who is constantly trying to get the family inheritance.

The show has a really unique tone and keeps its audience on its toes, which it obviously shares in common with WandaVision.

2 I Love Lucy (1951 – 1957)

When it comes to sitcoms, I Love Lucy is one of the most iconic, therefore anybody who enjoys the comedic and sitcom aspects of WandaVision will love it too. The show is filled with hilarious jokes, which is the big reason that fans of the Disney+ series should enjoy this.

While WandaVision has some nice action and tension, it is the funny one-liners and brilliant slapstick comedy that works so well. It feels very fresh at the moment, but if people want to see how shows like this were done in their prime, I Love Lucy is a great option.

1 Bewitched (1964 – 1972)

WandaVision takes its inspiration from many shows, the majority of them classic sitcoms, and one that seems very familiar is Bewitched. This popular sitcom is a brilliant series that brings tons of comedy throughout each episode, which is when WandaVision really thrives.

The series is similar to the Marvel show because of the superpower element, but it really is the sitcom vibe where these two shows feel familiar.
