10 Pieces Of Kung Fu Panda Fan Art That We Adore
2008’s Kung Fu Panda is a film that has its fair share of admirers. The storyline is intriguing, there is action yet also humor, wisdom, error, and triumph. It may be an animated film but it can please children and adults alike. The voice acting of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Dustin Hoffman, Randall Duk Kim, Seth Rogan, and David Cross is truly entertaining.
The first film was so successful that two more movies were made, with a fourth set to be released. This list of fan art is in honor of the kung fu fighting panda and other crime-fighting animals, because who can’t help but adore fan art based on well-loved movies?
10 Po In His Element
Via: CanisAlbus
Po has come a long way from his noodle cart dragging, Furious Five pining days. The Dragon Warrior has become him. This Deviant artist has taken the instrumental “Zen Ball Master,” created for Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) by John Powell and Hans Zimmer, creating this incredible artwork. Po’s pain and suffering, acceptance of his past, and understanding that it doesn’t make him who he is, have been beautifully shown.
9 A Peaceful Oogway
Via: TsaoShin
Peace, serenity, trust, and faith are all things Master Oogway is well learned in. Inner Peace was one of the final teachings he bestowed on Master Shifu and it’s fitting therefore that this fan art places Oogway in a space with such a calm atmosphere. The same petals from the peach tree that surrounded him in his final moments are shown carried in the wind, and birds sit comfortably on his figure.
8 Love For Little Tigress
Via: TC-96
Tigress was trained by Master Shifu in The Jade Palace and became a member of The Furious Five along with Viper, Monkey, Crane, and Mantis. But her childhood wasn’t one filled with love despite her attempts to make Shifu proud. She was always overshadowed by Tai Lung. This artist has imagined Tigress as a cub who is loved by her older sister before they were separated and Tigress went to train as a warrior.
7 The Furious Five In Human Form
Via: Shisaireru
Before Tigress, Mantis, Crane, Monkey, and Viper were joined by The Dragon Warrior, they were The Furious Five. This fan art has taken the adored Kung Fu Panda heroines and animated them in human form.
The artist is faithful to their distinguishable features including the hair pattern on Monkey’s face, Tigress’s stripes, and Mantis’s pink flowers.
6 Baby Po
Via: Nordeva
There is no doubt that when the audience first placed their eyes on baby Po, they fell in love with the big eyes and fluff just like Mr. Ping. When he found Po in a box, having eaten all of the radishes, he took him in, fed him, washed him, and fed him again. He knew that the choice was simple, the answer was before his eyes. He was going to keep this panda who had turned up in an empty box of what used to be radishes. His little Po.
5 A Snow Fight
Via: Suzamuri
Po’s about to realize that he made a dire mistake in challenging Tigress to a snowball fight. She did punch the ironwood trees outside the Jade Palace after all. Tigress and Po didn’t meet under the best of circumstances. Po fell out of the sky and crash-landed in front of Tigress during the unveiling of The Dragon Warrior. Oogway’s finger pointed at Po, and although Tigress asked whether it was meant to be her, he made no mistake. Tigress eventually came to respect and support Po as her friend and The Dragon Warrior.
4 Little Shen
Via: Apofiss
Lord Shen might be the villain of Kung Fu Panda 2, tormenting Po and challenging fate, but it is possible to think that Shen wasn’t always that way.
When looking at this artwork, it is easy to imagine Shen as a young peacock, whose obsession over his defeat at the hands of a warrior of both black and white was not yet rooted in his mind and overpowering his heart.
3 Family Is Like Noodles
Via: DeadlyChestnut
Mr. Ping isn’t Po’s biological father. He’s a goose. But Mr. Ping is Po’s loving father whose adoption of him made his life and his noodle soup that much sweeter. When Po found out that his parents were still alive, Mr. Ping, after some fears at the thought of his son being taken away from him, and struggling when they found the panda village, decided to support Po despite his own feelings.
Po was his little panda, and he was proud the day he became The Dragon Warrior just as much as he was proud of his noodle eater. He would stand by him, his son, and watch his happiness as if it were his own.
2 The Valley Of Peace
Via: thenSir
This artist has given the Valley Of Peace from Kung Fu Panda their own spin, letting the art guide them during the process. This landscape art is simply awe-inspiring with its ridges, bridge, and The Jade Palace sitting majestically in the fog and golden early morning sunlight. It’s not hard to imagine Po training under the peach tree, just as the artist has included in their artwork.
1 A Moment Of Remembrance
Via: mad-arts
Shifu believed that Oogway had made a mistake in giving him the impossible task of turning a fat panda into the Dragon Warrior. Although he had respect for his Master, Shifu still tried to get rid of Po by sabotaging his will, purposely training him to break his spirit. Oogway’s last words to Shifu were that he must believe, leaving his pupil to guide China’s only hope towards his destiny.
