Pokémon is one of the most famous franchises in the world, and so is Disney. Both are predominantly aimed at children and have a considerably large adult market that enjoys them as much as they did during their infancy. As such, it makes sense that some Pokémon would be a perfect fit in the magical world of Disney.

Indeed, a few Pokémon would feel right at home in some of Disney’s most famous classics, thanks to their cute appearance and endearing personality. Any Disney Princess would be lucky to have these wholesome Pokémon as their loyal companions!

Gardevoir

Psychic and Fairy can be a lethal combination, and Gardevoir is the perfect proof. This Generation III superstar is one of the strongest Pokémon from the Hoenn region and an outright franchise icon. Gardevoir became even better in Generation VI, thanks to a Mega Evolution that turned it into a powerhouse.

Gardevoir is basically the princess of the Pokémon world, making it a default Disney character. This Pokémon would get along famously with any of the kind-hearted Disney protagonists. Gardevoir is also notoriously loyal, willing to sacrifice itself for its Trainer, making it ideal for any Disney movie.

Lilligant

Grass-types are some of the prettiest Pokémon in the franchise, and Lilligant is the perfect example. This Generation V female-exclusive Pokémon is one of the cutest in Unova, thanks to her kind face and large flower crown. Coincidentally, the flower on her head releases a sweet aroma, said to soothe anyone that smells it.

Like Gardevoir, Lilligant is an overly-feminine Pokémon that conjures images of princesses and innocent maidens. Her full skirt even resembles a ball gown, meaning she’s ready to go when the obligatory Disney dance begins.

Sylveon

Appearances can be deceitful. Take Sylveon, for instance, a Pokémon as pink as they, full of ribbons and cute elements that make it look like it wouldn’t hurt a fly. And yet, it is perhaps the best non-Legendary Fairy-type, a Kalos superstar that single-handedly raises the region’s profile.

Sylveon has one of the most wholesome designs in Pokémon, making it a natural fit with the magic of Disney. It would fit perfectly in multiple movies, from Tangled to Onward, and would certainly leave an impression on the characters and the audience.

Snubbull

Snubbull is one of those Pokémon that looks cute but is actually dangerous. Introduced in Generation II, this pink dog and its evolution, Granbull, received the Fairy-type when it debuted in Gen Vi. Snubbull might not be the most imposing or mightiest of Pokémon, but it can be a valuable member of any Trainer’s team.

It would also make the ideal companion for a Disney flick. Some House of Mouse’s sidekicks are famous for being constantly angry; indeed, characters like Tangled‘s Pascal or The Little Mermaid‘s Sebastian are notorious for their temperaments, and Snubbull would fit the trope to the tee.

Primarina

Primarina’s pre-evolution, Popplio, is the best Starter Pokémon for any Generation VII playthrough. In fact, Primarina might be one of the best Starters ever, thanks to its massively advantageous type combo – Water and Fairy – that makes it the undisputed champion of the Alola region.

As one of the most overtly feminine Pokémon, Primarina immediately evokes images of delicate ladies and beautiful maidens. Thanks to its Water-typing, Primarina resembles a mermaid, making it a perfect companion for Disney’s most famous mermaid, Ariel.

Togekiss

Togepi debuted in the anime as Misty’s loyal companion. The cute egg monster remained with her for a long time before she tearfully released it in one of the most iconic scenes in the Pokémon anime. Unlike other Pokémon, who lose their cuteness upon evolution, Togepi retains it. Indeed, its final stage, Togekiss, is one of the franchise’s most charming Pokémon.

Thanks to its chubby figure and unbearably sweet face, Togekiss seems like it came out of a Disney movie. It wouldn’t look out of place next to Aurora while she sings in the forest in Sleeping Beauty, or playing alongside Kristoff and his family of trolls in Frozen.

Milotic

Generation III introduced many iconic Pokémon, and Milotic is one of them. As powerful as it’s beautiful, Milotic is a favorite of Gym Leaders, Elite Four Members, and even League Champions. Not every Trainer can master this sea-dweller and those who do usually rank among the best in their region.

Like Primarina, Milotic would be the perfect aquatic companion for Ariel. Furthermore, it’s only logical that a Pokémon renowned for its overwhelming beauty would fit into the franchise most famous for its iconic Princesses. One look at Milotic, and any fan would agree it looks like a creation of Walt Disney himself.

Xerneas

Legendary Pokémon rank among the best in the franchise. They are rare, elusive, and immensely powerful; only a Trainer of considerable strength can face them. Xerneas is the strongest Legendary Pokémon in Kalos, a majestic Fairy-type whose overwhelming presence could bring anyone to its knees.

Xerneas looks like it came straight out of a fantasy book. Thanks to its massive and multi-colored antlers and thin and elegant body, Xerneas lives to its reputation as the ultimate giver of life. Any Disney movie would be lucky to have it, and Xerneas would be a perfect fit for any and every fantasy story from the House of Mouse.

Alcremie

The Galar region introduced a slew of interesting Pokémon into the franchise, including Alcremie. This sweet-looking creature is the very representation of whipped cream and stands as one of the gimmickiest entries into the already gimmicky world of Pokémon.

Alcremie would be the perfect companion for any Disney character, except the villains. Indeed, Princesses like Belle or Tiana would get along famously with it. Alcremie’s ability to Gigantamax would also come in handy, particularly when going against the dreadful antagonist.

Clefable

The Fairy type is arguably the strongest in Pokémon because of impressive mons like Clefable. This Gen I icon is one of the most underrated Pokémon, continuously impressing players thanks to its respectable 483 base stat total.

Clefable is the ultimate representation of a Disney Princess. It looks sweet, cute, unable to even harm a fly; some might even look down on it and take it for granted. However, Clefable is a powerhouse, a massively powerful Pokémon that can go toe to toe with some of the mightiest Pokémon around. Even so, Clefable could still sit with any Princess and drink tea with her, proving just how versatile it is.
