She used to practice Yoga but in recent years she has turned to run since it takes less time to prepare. The actress used to be a competitive runner but nowadays she runs whenever her schedule allows it and for her anything over half-hour counts.

There is a medical condition known as bradycardia and Bowen has it. It is basically a condition where one is resting their heartbeat beats under 60 beats per minute which is not good for the heart and its condition. This is why she has a pacemaker so that it assures her heartbeat doesn’t drop to dangerously low levels.

It sounds very dangerous and scary but this is actually common and quite a lot of people have one. Better safe than sorry.

As an actress having to act going into labor is complicated and hard, so apparently Bowen went into character so hard that she caused her actual labor while faking labor on a TV show.
