10 Video Games For People Who Love Hawkeye on Disney+

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been dominating the box office since Iron Man was released in 2008, and each subsequent film has proven popular and successful sense. Despite the studio’s proven track record, many fans were unsure what to expect when Marvel Studios announced several premium series that would air exclusively on Disney+.

When shows like Loki and WandaVision showed the quality that fans should expect from these projects, most were excited when Hawkeye was added to the list of upcoming projects. This series, which follows Clint Barton and Kate Bishop as they work through New York’s criminal underworld, is heavily inspired by Matt Fraction’s beloved comic run. With the series having recently ended, fans may want to try some of the video games that represent the show’s characters, setting, or style.

10 Tomb Raider

Laura Croft has a long history in video games, but Crystal Dynamics breathed new life into the character with their 2013 reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. While Laura was traditionally a near-unstoppable force capable of wielding a wide array of weapons, Tomb Raider 2013 humanized and focused the character in ways that fans of Hawkeye will likely recognize. No longer a de facto superhero, the new Laura Croft shows signs of pain and damage from her fights in much like Clint Barton does as he faces the Track Suit Mafia. Furthermore, Laura’s new weapon of choice is a bow, and she quickly becomes quite adept at using it to take out enemies armed with more advanced weapons.

9 Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Neither of the Hawkeyes appears in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but fans of the Disney+ show will still find plenty of similarities to love about Sony’s 2021 pseudo-sequel. Much of Hawkeye‘s appeal to viewers was the decision to set the show around Christmas. Some of the narrative tension revolves around Clint trying to get home for the holiday, and the show takes place in a beautiful winter-time version of New York City. Miles Morales follows suit as it’s one of the best games that take place on Christmas. As players swing around NYC, they’ll be able to enjoy views filled with snow and Christmas decor.

8 In Death: Unchained

Despite not being a superhero game, In Death: Unchained is the closest that most players will get to feeling like an impossibly accurate combative archer. This semi-rogue-like VR experience is available for the Oculus Quest, PSVR, and PC VR, and it has players exploring a castle filled with various monsters and magical enemies. Players only have a bow to fight with, and survival requires quick reflexes and aim. There are different “trick” arrows to further the Hawkeye fantasy, including exploding, ice, and fire for players to sling at their opponents.

7 Marvel: Strike Force

Marvel Strike Force is currently the best Marvel game on mobile devices, and Hawkeye is on one of the best teams for beginners. The “Wave One Avengers,” made up of Hawkeye, Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk were once one of the more disappointing teams available, but a semi-recent rework has elevated the team significantly. Hawkeye is a compelling control character in Marvel Strike Force; he can blind foes and strip buffs with his trick arrows, and he and Black Widow always assist each other.

6 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may take place in a fantasy setting that’s a far cry from Hawkeye‘s Christmas-time New York, but it is one of the best games for roleplaying a world-class archer. Though Skyrim has several powerful weapons, the stealth archer build remains one of the most popular even a decade after the game’s initial release. Players may not be able to use trick arrows as Hawkeye and Kate Bishop do, but they can craft arrows out of various materials to do the most possible damage.

5 Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order

Team Ninja may have released Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order almost a decade after the last game in the acclaimed co-coop brawler franchise, but they were able to mix elements of previous games with new innovations. While not every change was well-received by fans, the expansive roster of famous and lesser-known Marvel characters was routinely cited as a high point for the game. Hawkeye plays exactly as fans would expect him to; he’s a powerful ranged character who takes advantage of several arrow types to deal single-target or area-of-effect damage.

4 Horizon: Zero Dawn

At first glance, Horizon: Zero Dawn may not appear to have much in common with Hawkeye, though there are similarities in its combat. The game transports players to a far future where most of human civilization has fallen, and Aloy must use traps and her bow to take down dangerous robots resembling various animals.

Much like Hawkeye, Aloy is severely underpowered compared to most of the enemies she fights. Instead of brute strength, she must rely on stealth, planning, and arrows imbued with different effects to defeat her foes.

3 Marvel’s Avengers

Despite being based on one of the largest entertainment IPs of all time, Marvel’s Avengers has largely failed to find an audience. However, most of the most detrimental complaints from fans revolve around the game’s replayability, not its entertaining campaign. The game has improved significantly since launch, and the somewhat-recent War for Wakanda makes Marvel’s Avengers worth coming back to. With the vast array of Marvel characters that the game could include, fans were surprised when the first two were very similar, though fans of Hawkeye are unlikely to be disappointed. Clint Barton and Kate Bishop are both playable with their own moves and abilities.

2 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 1 & 2

There have been many LEGO games released across several gaming platforms, but three of the best are based on Marvel characters. All of the LEGO games are third-person brawlers that let players tackle missions by themselves or with friends.

Clint Barton is present in all three LEGO Marvel games, but Kate Bishop can only be found in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 1 and 2. The latter sees heroes and villains teaming up to stop Kang from conquering all of space-time, which players may want to experience before Kang makes his anticipated cinematic debut in 2023.

1 Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite

The Marvel vs. Capcom franchise is one of the most well-known in fighting game history. Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite may not quite have gotten as positive of an initial reception as previous entries, but there’s still plenty of entertainment to be had suiting up as fan-favorite characters from both sides of the crossover. Infinite is notable for Hawkeye fans not only because Clint Barton is one of the playable characters but also because it doesn’t delegate him to only long-range combat. Clint is a talented hand-to-hand combatant as well, and Infinite reflects this by giving him stronger melee attacks than most other zoners.
