When the holiday season is upon us, there’s nothing better than watching Hallmark movie after Hallmark movie. With thousands of titles to Hallmark’s name, their Christmas movies are some of their best. Each movie seems to have the perfect setting, either in a quaint small-town or a bustling big city, and there’s always a love interest. Mix in a few hot cocoas, snowy walks, and cookie-baking, and we have the perfect recipe for a Christmas Hallmark movie.

As amazing as these Hallmark movies make us feel, not every Christmas movie was a grand slam. According to IMDb, these are some of the network’s lowest ranking movies. And while some of these are still played during the holiday season, they were not fan-favorites by Hallmark aficionados. Here are the 10 worst Hallmark Christmas movies, according to their IMDb rating.

10 HATS OFF TO CHRISTMAS – 6

Starring Haylie Duff, Hats off to Christmas is about a woman named Mia who works in a popular Christmas hat store (who knew Santa hats were in such demand?). After working there for 10 years, Mia is outraged when her boss decides to hire his son, Nick, for the upper-management position Mia has been longing for. To make matters worse, Mia is expected to train Nick.

Like many Hallmark movies, these two begin to soften with one another after Nick falls for Mia’s son, but after disappointing her son, Mia turns her back on Nick for the better of her family. Will a Christmas miracle happen for these two?

9 THE CHRISTMAS PARADE – 6

Considering actress AnnaLynne McCord starred in this Hallmark movie, it’s strange that it was rated so poorly. Regardless of the rating, McCord portrayed a reporter named Hailee Anderson who is sentenced to 23 hours of community service after damaging a judge’s Christmas display in a small town.

Anderson has no desire to stay in the town or even do the community service, but she stays in the new town of Carver Bend to fulfill her hours. It’s then that she falls for a local artist after using her community service hours to help him build a float in time for the holiday parade. Will his love be enough to save her holiday? You’ll have to watch!

7 ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS – 5.9

Christmas really is an enchanting time of year. With the trees and the lights, it’s hard not to get sentimental. In Hallmark’s Enchanted Christmas, we meet Laura, an interior designer, who is set to work on a project in an old hotel just in time for the holidays.

However, this project gets complicated when she learns she’ll be working with her ex-boyfriend… As with every Hallmark movie, Laura is torn between work and her new-found feelings for her ex-boyfriend as viewers wait to see how she handles it.

6 IT’S CHRISTMAS, CAROL! – 5.9

In a celebrity-filled Hallmark movie, It’s Christmas, Carol! stars Carrie Fisher and Carson Kressley. The movie is very similar to a Ghost of Christmas Past, with Fisher acting as the former boss (that everyone loved) visiting the new boss (that everyone hates) to show her what her life will be like if she continues down this negative and hostile work environment.

Once Fisher’s character shows her what her life will end up like, will Carol wake up a new, reformed woman on Christmas morning?

5 MERRY MATRIMONY – 5.8

Surprisingly, Merry Matrimony (also called A Perfect Christmas Wedding) only has a rating of 5.8 on IMDb! Jessica Lowndes plays Brie, an ad executive whose mission is to plan the perfect Christmas wedding for a fashion magazine. Her organized plan is thrown out the window when she realizes the famed photographer she’ll be working with is actually her ex-boyfriend from college; the one who got away.

These two now need to get over their past and try to remain professional while working, even though they both have unresolved feelings for one another. It’s a good thing their project ends around Christmas, which is the perfect time to fall in love!

4 CHRISTMAS AT GRACELAND – 5.7

Starring country singer Kellie Pickler, Christmas at Graceland is about a woman named Laurel (Pickler) who heads back to her old stomping grounds of Memphis for business. But while she’s there, she runs into her ex-boyfriend, Clay, who also used to be her singing partner.

For Laurel, it’s hard for her to focus on work when she’s thrown back into her old Memphis life, filled with singing and performances. Will Laurel stay in Memphis after falling back in love with the city (and Clay) or has Memphis run its course?

3 BABY’S FIRST CHRISTMAS – 5.5

Baby’s First Christmas hit screens in 2012 and was given a 5.5 rating on IMDb. Honestly, it’s clear why the movie didn’t do well — even the synopsis is rather boring. The film revolves around two competing lawyers, Jenna and Kyle, who truly despise one another. Jenna even gets another job because she hated working with Kyle so much. Things change when Jenna and Kyle’s siblings hit it off and eventually get married and start a family together.

Now, Jenna and Kyle are forced to be in each other’s lives, especially since their siblings are having their second baby around Christmas time. With everyone back in town, Jenna and Kyle have to put on a brave face to make it through the holidays, but maybe it won’t be as bad as they thought…

2 A CHRISTMAS SONG – 5.5

Hallmark’s Christmas Song made it on the list as one of the second lowest-rated movies on IMDb for Hallmark Christmas movies. As two high schools merge into one, there’s only room for one music teacher. To see who’s more deserving of the spot, both teachers (and their students) must perform in a singing Christmas competition to see who stays and who goes.

As always, these two music teachers started detesting one another but that all changes once they realize the sweet music they’re making is also brewing between them.

With the holiday season upon them, Dan blames Christmas for all his misgivings. Little does he know, his luck comes back to him after officially being groomed as the next Santa Claus!
