Amy was worried about Tammy traveling all the way to Atlanta in the back of their car, but Tammy assured her sister that she’d just use the floor of the car as her bathroom. One incentive for Amy to qualify for bariatric surgery was so she would be able to get pregnant with fewer health risks. Even though Dr. Procter cautioned that the pair should have waited years before trying to have a baby, Amy revealed that she was pregnant shortly after recovering from the operation. When Amy gave birth to Gage in season 2, not only was there a wonderful addition to the Slaton family that further united Amy and Tammy, but all the hard work Amy put into her weight loss in 1000-lb Sisters finally paid off.
