Time certainly flies. This November will mark the 10-year anniversary of the release of the first Twilight movie, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

The saga of a teen girl in love with a 109-year-old vampire attracted worldwide fan mania and racked up billions in profit for Hollywood. The five Twilight movies made international mega-stars out of Pattinson and Stewart, and greatly enhanced the careers of Anna Kendrick, Kellan Lutz, Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, among others.

Along the way, there’s been a lot of crazy and chaotic drama surrounding the cast of the beloved saga. Perhaps the craziest was when Pattinson received relationship advice from a presidential source on Twitter.

The “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” controversy also made some of the biggest stars in the business feel that they needed to choose a side. Feeling beleaguered, RPatz even hid out in a gated community in Los Angeles at one point, trying to avoid his intense and relentless fans.

Then, of course, there was the four-year relationship of Stewart and Pattinson, which enthralled fans at first, and then crushed those fans when the star-crossed pair broke up.

Even today, six years after the split, anything that can be interpreted as a sign of their reunion is breathlessly reported in the media.

20 Robert Pattinson’s Mysterious Break-Up

Many Twihards were crushed when Robert Pattinson announced his engagement to a woman who wasn’t Kristen Stewart a few years ago.

In April 2015, RPatz got engaged to the London-based singer-dancer FKA Twigs, aka Tahliah Debrett Barnett. Barnett’s debut album, LP1, came out in 2014 and attracted a lot of attention and critical acclaim. It charted on both the United Kingdom and U. S. music charts, and was followed up with another successful extended play,  M3LL155X.

Robert and Twigs were often spotted out together by the paparazzi, and seemed very much in love.

However, the couple never seemed to get around to setting a wedding date. Then, last October, Twigs and Pattinson mysteriously parted ways. No doubt, many Twilight fans worldwide breathed a collective sigh of relief, still cherishing the hope that Pattinson would get back together with Kristen Stewart.

The cause of the break-up was shrouded in conflicting reports. Some media sources reported that it was Pattinson who dumped Twigs, but other sources said it was the other way around: Twigs dumped RPatz for another man, reportedly model Brieuc Breitenstein.

Then came the reports that Pattinson had been seen canoodling with his long-time friend, Katy Perry, in January of this year. There were also the inevitable claims of Stewart moving back into the Pattinson orbit, but many sources dismissed these rumors as fake.

19 Taylor Lautner’s Vanishing Career

In the brief, heady years between 2008 and 2012, Taylor Lautner had it made. He played the third lead in what was then the hottest movie franchise in the world— as the sensitive teenage werewolf, Jacob Black.

He had a large fan base of Twihards, which included Stephenie Meyer– the author of the Twilight books herself– who thought that his performance as Jacob was fantastic. As noted by the Hollywood Reporter, he once commanded as much as $7.5 million a picture. To top it all off, he even briefly dated Taylor Swift.

What a difference a mere six years makes. Today Lautner is mostly known as the former A-lister who flopped worse than a goldfish expiring in a kitty kibble bowl.

He does mostly television and small indies now, and his last screen credit is from the Fox series Scream Queens— which was cancelled a year ago.

Industry insiders trace the decline in Lautner’s career to the 2011 movie Abduction, which was his first really big action movie. The film was directed by writer/actor John Singleton, known for classics like Boyz n the Hood. Co-stars included Lilly Collins, Alfred Molina and Maria Bello.

On paper, Abduction looked good. On the screen, however, it was a disaster. Critics savaged the film as a mindless vehicle crafted to showcase a talentless pretty boy. Rightly or wrongly, that assessment seems to have stuck to Lautner like Silly String on a Velcro tab.

What’s next for the former hirsute heart-throb? Maybe a stint behind the camera, as his IMdb entry lists a producer credit as his only upcoming project.

18 Gil Birmingham’s Cheesy Conan Stint

Big, brawny, and brainy, Gil Birmingham is one of the most successful Native American actors in Hollywood history. He’s appeared in a huge number of big and small screen productions since he started his career– inadvertently– as an extra in a Diana Ross music video, way back in 1982.

However, he’s probably best known to the general public for his role as Billy Black, the father of werewolf Jacob Black, in the Twilight movies.

Birmingham had originally planned to work in chemical engineering– he has a Bachelor of Science degree from the prestigious University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

He was bitten hard by the acting bug during that fateful Diana Ross video, however, and he made the decision to drop his office job for acting– a move that has worked out spectacularly well for the Texas-born Commanche.

Along the way, like most struggling actors, he took some not-so-glamorous acting jobs to pay the rent and build his résumé. One of his early roles was playing Conan the Barbarian at the Universal Studios theme park near Hollywood– a job that leveraged his brawny body-builder form as well as his acting skills.

He laughs about it today, and jokes that he’s probably featured in a lot of family vacation photos from the era.

The job gave him a lot of freedom to pursue acting work and attend auditions, he told The Fresno Bee in 2016. Far from being embarrassed about his time as Conan, he sees the stint as an example of a door opening for him and giving him the courage to walk through it.

17 Kellen Lutz’s Hush-Hush Wedding

Kellan Lutz worked in television and small films for two years before he got his big break as Emmett Cullen, the fun-loving, unpredictable vampire brother of Edward.

He’s also a well-known Ford model, who appeared in the 2010 campaign for Calvin Klein’s men’s underwear, which showed off Lutz’s impressively buffed form in skin-tight skivvies. (His fans were delighted.)

Since Twilight, he’s moved on to starring roles in movies Immortals and A Warrior’s Heart, where he acted with fellow Twilight alum Ashley Greene.

In his private life, Lutz seems to be a lot more low-key than Emmett Cullen. Last November, Lutz surprised his fans with his hush-hush wedding to television host Brittany Gonzales, as reported later by Brides magazine.

The nuptials were first announced with little fanfare on Instagram, when the couple posted pictures of their new rings.The duo gave no details or even a date, except the information that the happy event took place close to Thanksgiving. (Lutz’s IMdB profile says it happened on November 23, which was the date of Thanksgiving last year.)

It took Lutz and his new wife two months to post wedding photos, and again Instagram was their choice for releasing the pictures.

The wedding obviously took place at a tropical, beachy location, but the couple did not reveal the specific location. It was very private.

No one would accuse this happy couple of oversharing.

Like her new hubby, Gonzales is also model. She’s also a host for JUCE TV, a Christian youth network with the Trinity Broadcasting Network. We hope the newlyweds have a great life.

16 Donald Trump Advised RPatz to Dump KStew

While RPatz and KStew were a thing, everybody had their opinions about the relationship. Most Twihards probably wanted to see them get hitched, as their characters did in the Twilight saga.

However, there’s always a skunk at the picnic, and in 2012, Pattinson received relationship advice from a very vocal but unlikely source: the future President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

At the time, Trump was still on television, hosting the long-running reality series The Apprentice and was also in charge of the Miss Universe beauty pageant. Taking to his beloved Twitter account, Trump tweeted that Pattinson should dump Stewart after photos of her surfaced with another man.

“In a couple of years, he will thank me. Be smart, Robert,” Trump added.

The future occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue also tried to get RPatz to sign up for an appearance on the 2012 Miss Universe pageant show. Perhaps Trump thought that the contestants would be more interested in meeting the star than in winning the contest.

There’s no record that Pattinson responded to the invitation. Of course, eventually the celebrated couple did go their separate ways. Twihards still hope for a reunion and a lot of folks would like to see Trump rendered speechless– for once– if they ever got back together.

15 Anna Kendrick is the Awards Show Darling

As Jessica Stanley, Anna Kendrick played the fickle, high school frenemy of Bella Swan in most of the Twilight movies. It’s a role that provided her with plenty of exposure, which has resulted in a very busy screen career.

She’s been a critics’ darling since she was a mere 12, when she got a Tony award nomination in 1998 for her role in the Broadway production High Society. Later, she co-starred in a production of Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music for the New York City Opera.

Onscreen, Kendrick wowed critics in 2009’s Up in the Air, opposite George Clooney, and received a surprise nomination for an Oscar as Best-Supporting Actress for her role (she lost to Mo’Nique for Precious.)

Starting in 2012, she starred in the commercially successful Pitch Perfect movie franchise. In the first Pitch Perfect film, she performed the mega-hit song “Cups”. The song was on the lips of middle school girls everywhere for at least a year.

She came back for two more installments of the Pitch Perfect saga, with the last one debuting in 2017.

As of today, she’s garnered nominations for pretty much every major entertainment award out there except the Emmy– Tony, Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA, SAG, and Golden Globe. She’s already won many of the less-well-known– but still prestigious– entertainment gongs, like the World Theatre Award, the MTV Movie Award, and the Houston Film Critics Circle Award.

Also, she’s only 32 years old, so we can expect many more nominations and wins for Kendrick in the future. We can’t wait to see what she wears for her inevitable Oscar win.

14 Billy Burke’s Bella Baby

Billy Burke, who played Charlie Swan in the Twilight movies– i.e. the nice but incredibly clueless father of Bella Swan– is a respected character actor with almost 70 screen credits to his name.

He’s appeared in hits like Light’s Out on the big screen and in small screen shows like 24, Fringe, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He also played the lead role in the short-lived but critically acclaimed JJ Abrams series, Revolution.

Like a lot of Twilight cast members, Burke is an accomplished musician as well as a successful actor.

To Twihards, however, he’ll always be Charlie Swan, the well-intentioned but perpetually befuddled single dad of Bella and the chief of police for the small town of Forks, Washington. Burke feels privileged for getting the role of Charlie and even thinks that it’s made him a better father to his daughter, who has the improbable name of Bluesy LaRue Burke.

Little Bluesy, who must be about nine or ten today, was born just after the wrap of the first Twilight movie. Her mother is the British actress Pollyanna Rose, who starred in the early Oughts British teen series, Star Street.

In 2009, while working on the first two Twilight sequels, Burke told MTV News that he hoped that little Bluesy would grow up to be just like Bella.

He said that he thought that Bella has an “old soul” and that he hoped his daughter would grow up to be the same. “I would like her to be a worldly person,” he added.

In 2010, Burke released an album entitled Removed, which includes a song called “Bluesy LaRue”.

13 Nikki Reed’s Troubled Teen Movie

Nikki Reed will always be remembered as the icy blonde Rosalie Cullen, the vampire sister-in-law of Edward. (It took 36 hours of hair treatments to turn dark brunette Nikki into fair-haired Rosalie.) She was just 20 when the first Twilight movie debuted in 2008.

However, she was already an established Hollywood “name” before that. In 2003,  she co-wrote and starred in an autobiographical movie called Thirteen, which garnered a lot of positive critical attention. She was just a precocious 15-year-old at the time.

Thirteen is a memoir of Reed’s troubled, substance-and-carousing-soaked middle school years. Catherine Hardwicke, who would go on to direct the first Twilight movie, directed and co-wrote the movie with Reed.

Aside from Reed, the cast included Holly Hunter, Vanessa Hudgens, and Evan Rachel Wood. Holly Hunter received an Academy Award nomination for her role, and Evan Rachel Wood was nominated for a Golden Globe. (Wood played Tracy, the character based on Reed’s childhood, while Reed played another role.)

Reed herself won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance for her role in the film.

Despite the critical acclaim and award attention for Thirteen, the actress has mixed feelings about the movie today. She regrets the unflattering way that it portrayed her parents, among other things.

She’s especially regretful about her father being depicted as a “totally vacant careless schmuck,” according to an interview with Zooey Magazine a few years ago. Reed said that the movie was the result of how she felt as a kid and was exaggerated and was thus not from a “well-rounded” view.

12 KStew’s Mega-Bucks

The Twilight movies made billions for its Hollywood producers and investors, and millions for its main stars. So it’s no surprise that in 2012, Stewart was named the highest paid actress in Hollywood by Forbes magazine.

The magazine reported that from May 2011 to May 2012, Stewart hauled in a whopping $34.5 million from her acting duties in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I and Part II, and in Snow White and the Huntsman.

She was only 22 when she collected that huge amount and could have retired then and there, and lived comfortably for the rest of her life. Nice work if you can get it.

Today, Stewart concentrates more on movies that aren’t big blockbusters like Twilight. We’re not sure what her asking price was for smaller recent films like Personal Shopper (2016), which only had a budget of $6 million for the whole movie. That’s less than half of Stewart’s asking price for each of the last two Twilight movies.

However, for Personal Shopper, she got some of the best acting reviews in her career, so there’s that. Twilight gave her what is known as “FU money” in the industry, so she can afford to pick and choose.

11 Taylor Lautner: Karate Kid

Before turning to acting, Lautner thought he might have had a career as a martial arts expert. He started training in karate when he was a six-year-old– and he was very good at it.

He was good enough to achieve black belt status by the age of eight, and good enough to train with Michael Chaturantabut, the founder of Xtreme Martial Arts, a martial arts discipline that combines gymnastics and tumbling with traditional moves. Lautner won several junior world championships, too.

Here’s Lautner on YouTube at the Bluegrass National Championship in Louisville, Kentucky in 2003. He competed for the title of Grand Champion and won– that’s one tough kid.

It was while Lautner was training with Chaturantabut in Los Angeles that he first thought of trying acting. He got his first role in a made-for-television movie called Small Fury when he was just 10, in 2001.

Other television roles followed, including voiceovers for animated cartoons. Then he got his breakout role in the now-cult movie The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3D from 2005. The movie was directed by Robert Rodriguez of the Spy Kids and Machete franchises, who was impressed with Lautner’s martial arts prowess.

Throughout his early career, Lautner showed extreme determination by commuting often between Los Angeles and his native Michigan, while keeping up with school, martial arts camp, football, and auditions.

The hard-working actor is currently experiencing a lull in his career, but he definitely has the determination and focus to get back on track, which we hope he does.

10 Stars Chose A Side Between Team Edward and Team Jacob

At the height of Twilight mania in 2009, fans, critics, and even stars all felt obligated to pick a side: Team Edward or Team Jacob? There was actually more hysteria about the choice than about the real-life smackdown between supporters of Team Anniston and Team Jolie over Brad Pitt.

The website Twilight Guide posted pro’s and con’s for each side, and a Cleveland, Ohio news portal spoke for many non-fans when they ran a headline that screeched: “There’s still no escaping Twilight!”

Nine years later, the passionate arguments seem a bit embarrassing. In a slide show that appeared on Access Online at the time, stars like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Will Farrell, and Jimmy Kimmel gave their opinions on the “Team” controversy, some of which they’d probably like to forget.

Kimmel declined to declare an allegiance, claiming it was “racist” (what?) to choose between a vampire and a werewolf.  Demi Lovato refused to pick a side as well.

Hewitt, on the other hand, said that Edward was the obvious choice and that girls who didn’t like Edward best were like “aliens from another planet.” Emmy Rossum was seen with a Team Jacob water bottle, while Katherine McPhee was snapped with a Team Edward one. Will Farrell joked that he was on “Team Stanley.”

The one opinion that counted most with some fans, of course, was that of Kristen Stewart. The actress diplomatically side-stepped the issue by saying that she thought both Edward and Jacob would be “good husbands.”

9 KStew’s Goofy Disney Debut

Kristin Stewart, whose parents are off-camera movie industry professionals, started her career when she was just eight years old. A casting director spotted her in an elementary school play.

Quickly after that came her screen debut in a goofy Disney Channel Original movie, The Thirteenth Year, which first aired in 1999.

It’s a movie that is remembered very fondly by many ’90s kids today. Stewart had a non-speaking role as a schoolmate who stands in line waiting for the lead actor to stop hogging the hall drinking fountain.

In this YouTube clip, she’s the dark-haired girl in the white turtleneck shirt. The plot of The Thirteenth Year concerns a boy who discovers he’s a male mermaid–okay, merboy–when he turns 13.

It’s typical Disney ’90s fluff, with squeaky-clean teen actors and sunny suburban locations. The lead actor is a long-forgotten former Disney star with the improbable name of Chez Starbuck. (His real name is actually Caesaray Sarnella.) Sixteen at the time, he had the looks, the teeth, and the hair.

However, for reasons that are unclear, he walked away from Disney stardom in 2003 and had no onscreen acting roles until a cameo in 2011 as himself in the series The Real L Word.

Instead of acting, Starbuck turned to fine art, with photos that he posts on his Instagram account. He also took up bodybuilding and appeared on Live Big With Ali Vincent on the Live Well Network.

However, a recent Nikki Swift article reports that Starbuck is finally returning to acting after all of these years, in an upcoming short movie called The Long and the Short.

8 Anna Kendrick’s Best-Selling Book

We all know that Anna Kendrick is talented at acting and singing. She was a Broadway star at age 12 and an Oscar nominee at age 22. To top it off, she’s also a best-selling author.

Her autobiographical book called Scrappy Little Nobody made Number One on the New York Times’ best-seller list for non-fiction in 2016.

According to many critics, the book is a humorous and very entertaining collection of essays and anecdotes about Kendrick’s rise to movie stardom. The Chicago Tribune reveiwer, for instance, praised Kendrick’s “honest, unpretentious, self-deprecating tone.”

Scrappy Little Nobody, as reported by Vulture, dishes on friends, acquaintances, and co-stars like Zac Efron, Drew Barrymore, and Cate Blanchett.

In one chapter, Kendrick likens Efron to a “cult leader” due to his charisma and undefinable “something” that just attracts and motivates the people around him. (She co-starred with him in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.)

In another, she voices certain regrets about her movie debut in the 2003 movie, Camp, an uneven comedy about a musical camp for young Broadway hopefuls, which she agrees may have struck some viewers as “boring and weird.”

As her book soared to the top of the best-seller lists, Kendrick told the New York Times  that she reads a lot of books, including big-brain classics like All Quiet on the Western Front, The Handmaid’s Tale and Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. She also buys a lot of cheesy self-help books, but doesn’t finish them very often, as they never seem to transform her into “someone wonderful” in the first chapter.

7 RPatz’s Teen Modeling Career

He’s been named The Most Handsome Man in the World by the readers of Vanity Fair. However, Robert Pattinson once was made to feel like his looks weren’t good enough for a modeling career.

He started out fairly well, as a 12-year-old model for catalog and print ads in his native United Kingdom. (His mother worked in an advertising agency.) Above, he can be seen posing for a an advertisement for the British clothing firm Hackett’s.

He’s already got that dreamy, hollow-cheeked look that would drive a generation of teen and tween girls (and their moms) crazy in the near future.

As Pattinson noted in an interview with British magazine Closer, he had success as a model as long as he looked “androgynous.” That was the popular look for young men of the era.

However, he grew out of it. His modeling career, says Pattinson, tanked when he got a growth spurt and started to look like “too much of a guy.”

The modeling agents didn’t call as often as they once did, and Pattinson took up acting. He joined the Barnes Theatre Company and began acting in their plays. He eventually attracted the attention of an agent.

A role in a German television movie followed, and then, in 2005, as most RPatz fans know, he got his break-out role as Harry Potter student Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

After that came Twilight and worldwide mega-stardom. Ironically, his fame has brought Pattinson full circle and back to the modeling. In 2013 he became “the face” for Dior Homme’s Fragrances sector, and later signed to flak their Menswear line as well.

6 Fans and Critics Still Argue About Taylor Lautner’s Ancestry

The role of Jacob Black in the Twilight movies was one of the juiciest, most high-profile parts for a Native American in modern movie history.

When Taylor Lautner was cast as Jacob, some Native Americans were upset, as they obviously felt that the role should go to a recognized Native American actor. (The movies did feature many prominent Native actors in supporting roles, such as Gil Birmingham, a Commanche, in the role of Jacob’s dad, and Graham Greene as Harry Clearwater.)

In response, media coverage at first emphasized that Lautner does have Native ancestry, claiming descent from the Potawatomi and Ottawa tribes. However, vague claims to Native ancestry didn’t count for much with a lot of critics.

In this blog that tracks the portrayal of Natives in pop culture, some of the comments about Lautner were savage. One commenter said that in an age when there are so many good Native actors, “it’s completely uncalled for and almost insulting for them to cast a white kid with a tan and romanticize his ethnicity.”

Other commenters, however, defended Lautner.

After critics surfaced, the question of Lautner’s ethnicity was later quietly pushed into the background. His Wikipedia entry lists his heritage as Austrian, German, French, English, Irish, Dutch and Swiss, with “distant” Native American ancestry.

The question of Lautner’s DNA still comes up now and then. It’s a question that could be easily resolved by taking one of the numerous online DNA tests that have sprung up since 2008.

Why not take one of the tests to make sure? Maybe one day, fans and critics alike can finally get an answer.

5 Anna Kendrick Once Dumped a Guy for Tickling

If you want to date Anna Kendrick, there’s one thing you have know: she has a strong tickling phobia. “Gitchee gitchee goo”– accompanied by fumbling fingers dancing on her tummy– isn’t a phrase that she wants to hear from her suitors– ever. Got that?

She’s such a tickle-phobe, in fact, that she once dumped a guy for tickling her too much. She asked him politely to stop, and he didn’t. So Kendrick said, “you’re gonna miss me when I’m gone,” and left her tormenting tickler in the dust. As in, “I gotta a ticket for the long way around and it doesn’t include you, tickler weirdo.”

In Kendrick’s view, the guy wasn’t respecting her boundaries, as she told Elle magazine back in December. She thinks thather former beau– she didn’t name names– has been telling his friends about the “psycho” girl who dumped him just for tickling.

However, she’s proud of standing up for her standards, especially in the age of #MeToo. “I knew that my feelings mattered, but I didn’t really have the vocabulary to talk about it,” she explained to Elle.

Today, she feels like it’s important for herself and for all women to be able to say how they feel about important issues to their partners and explain why it matters.

As far as we know, Kendrick’s current beau is still Ben Richardson, the cinematographer for hits like Beasts of the Southern Wild and The Fault in Our Stars. They’ve been together since 2014. We’re going to go out on a limb here and guess that Ben’s not real big on tickling.

4 An Asteroid Was Named After RPatz

At the height of Twi-mania, the beast knew no international borders. As New Moon debuted in 2009, Twihards swarmed theatres in Mumbai, Beijing, Johannesberg, Paris, London, and other world capitals, reported the Christian Science Monitor.

At the official Hollywood premiere, fans mobbed the stars while waving attention-seeking signs that read things like: “If Rob were president, he’d be Babe Lincoln!” There was a lot of chaos on the red carpet at the time.

Even outer space was not spared, as the tentacles of Twi-mania spread to the Earth’s asteroid belt. A Russian astronomer named Timur Kryachko made sure of that. At the urging of his wife (of course), Kryachko named a newly discovered asteroid after Robert Pattinson.

The RPatz space rock is only two kilometers wide (about one mile and 427 yards), but it’s the thought that counts. The asteroid was registered as #246789 Pattinson by Kryachko in a registry maintained by the International Astronomical Union. The date was February 24, 2009, reported the Russian site Sputnik News.

Now for the big question that’s surely on everyone’s lips: does #246789 Pattinson sparkle? Timur Kryachko, alas, didn’t say if the asteroid sparkles or not. Let’s just be sentimental and assume that that it does.

3 Nikki Reed’s Short Marriage to an “Idol”

Nikki Reed seems pretty happy in her personal life these days, with her three-year marriage to Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder. The couple’s new baby daughter, Bodhi, was born last November.

With all of the media attention paid to the couple, though, most of Reed’s fans have probably forgotten her brief marriage to American Idol contestant Paul McDonald– even though it ended just four years ago.

Reed and McDonald literally met on the red carpet. It happened at the March 2011 premiere of the movie Red Riding Hood, which was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, who also helmed the first Twilight movie. Red Riding Hood also featured Twilight alum Billy Burke (Charlie Swan) in the cast.

Reed and McDonald got engaged only three months after that red carpet meeting, with Reed happily telling the media “he’s the one!” At the time, she seemed to ignore concerns that the engagement was too quick.

During their brief marriage, Reed and McDonald released several singles together, and appeared in a 2013 music video for the former ’90s boy-toy group, Hanson.

After splitting from McDonald in March 2014, Reed got engaged to Somerhalder in January 2015, after only dating him for a few months also. They got married in a surprise wedding the following April, inviting friends and family to a barbecue that was really a marriage ceremony.

McDonald, a singer-songwriter who finished eighth in the tenth season of Idol, is now dating Emily Kinney from The Walking Dead. McDonald and Kinney have formed their own musical duo, known as The Sweetheart Deal, and performed together onstage in McDonald’s hometown, Nashville.

2 Stephen King Dumped on Stephenie Meyer

Mega-successful horror writer Stephen King created a memorable vampire character, Kurt Barlow, in his best-selling novel, Salem’s Lot. The book was turned into a classic television miniseries that still terrifies viewers almost 40 years after it premiered.

So it’s safe to say that King does know a thing or two about vampires– and about writing. He’s allegedly worth $400 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, and almost all of that loot has been generated by his book and movie royalties.

Of course, Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twlight novels, is no slouch herself in the earnings department. Celebrity Net Worth alleges that she’s got $125 million on her personal balance sheet, generated mostly from her books and movies.

Maybe it was professional jealousy that caused King to dump all over Meyer in a media interview in 2009– statements that caused a ruckus at the time, especially among outraged Twihards.

As quoted in the British newspaer The Guardian, King stated that Meyer “can’t write worth a darn.” He compared her unfavorably with Harry Potter writer J. K. Rowling, saying that Rowling can actually write, whereas Meyer can’t.

Twihards quoted in the Guardian article were vicious in response. One claimed that King was just jealous of Edward Cullen’s “good looks.”

Another tried to recruit fans for a campaign to send King loads of hate mail. Yet another fan noted that King wasn’t such a great writer himself, and wasn’t qualified to judge other people’s writing skills.

Stephenie Meyer is probably laughing all the way to the bank.

1 KStew outed herself on Saturday Night Live

In a hilarious opening monologue for Saturday Night Live in February 2017, Kristen Stewart took on the tweet-storm that President Trump directed at her and  RPatz in 2012.

Noting that Trump tweeted about her eleven times, urging RPatz to “dump” her, Stewart said her actions had made him go “insane.” (Watch the clip here.) Then she casually noted that Trump would probably like her even less today, because she’s “so gay.”

To be fair, it wasn’t the first time that KStew had been open about her orientation. She gave several prominent interviews about her relationships with other women before the SNL monologue. However, it was the first time, as far as we know, that she addressed the subject to a massive audience on television.

A month later, in an interview with the British newspaper, The Guardian, Stewart clarified that she is bi. She added that it’s not confusing to be bi– in fact, for her, it’s “quite the opposite.”

Stewart’s past relationships with women have included Alicia Cargile, a visual effects producer, and the musician St. Vincent (Anna Clark). As far as we know, she is still dating British model Stella Maxwell, as of this writing.

However, she has also stated that she may be open to dating guys again in the future.
