In a nutshell, Disney’s Frozen tells the tale of two sisters who go to great lengths to help one another and it is easily one of the sweetest and most lovably wholesome Disney film franchises of all time.

The songs, the characters, and even the morals fans are taught along the way make this movie an unforgettable masterpiece. So without further ado, here are some of the most lovable quotes from the Frozen movies that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Updated on March 17th, 2021 by Kristen Palamara: Even though Frozen was released in 2013 it’s still one of Disney’s most successful and well-beloved original movies for both children and adult audiences alike. The movie was so popular that it warranted a sequel released in 2019 that was just as well-received and continued the story of the two royal sisters Anna and Elsa and their friends Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf. Both movies were heartfelt and uplifting stories about sisterly bonds and creating new lifelong friends, which brought to audiences two movies full of lovable, heartwarming, and at times hilarious dialogue.

20 I’M GONNA TELL HIM

Kristoff and Anna have a difficult relationship at the beginning of the first Frozen movie as he’s frustrated by her presence and Anna wants to save her sister and get back to Hans at Arendelle, but as the two are slowly becoming friends during their journey they meet Olaf.

Olaf sings a happy-go-lucky and blissful song about how much he wants to be able to see summer and can’t wait for the weather to get warmer because he’s sick of winter. Kristoff smiles and playfully says this line to Anna that he’s going to tell the snowman what will happen to him in warmer weather and it’s one of the first times the two have a playful banter as she forbids Kristoff to tell him.

19 I DON’T CARE WHAT THEY’RE GOING TO SAY, LET THE STORM RAGE ON, THE COLD NEVER BOTHERED ME ANYWAY

“Let It Go” is easily the most recognizable song of Frozen’s musical numbers and it is full of uplifting lyrics like this one. Elsa finally breaks free from the burden of hiding who she is and says that she doesn’t care what people will think anymore.

Her parents had made her hide who she was because they believed it would protect her, but Elsa’s ready to be her authentic self and is empowered enough not to let other people’s opinions of her affect her.

18 I DON’T HAVE A SKULL…OR BONES

Olaf has a few hilarious and heartfelt lines throughout the movies, especially in Frozen when he has some lovable but deadpan dialogue about the fact that he’s a snowman. These lines made audiences fall in love with the odd and completely honest snowman come to life.

He’s just stating a fact here that as a snowman he doesn’t have a skull or bones so he doesn’t have to worry about things that Anna and Kristoff have to worry about, but voice actor Josh Gad’s deadpan delivery makes the short quote a favorite.

17 OH, LOOK AT THAT…I’VE BEEN IMPALED

Similarly to the quote above, this lovable and hilarious quote is made better by Josh Gad’s delivery and the weirdly dark humor connected to it. Olaf walks backward and is impaled by an icicle and obviously doesn’t feel anything until he realizes he’s no longer walking.

Kristoff and Anna stare at him, most likely wondering if he’s okay, only for Olaf to grab at the icicle and say this line.

16 DON’T KNOW IF I’M ELATED OR I’M GASSY, BUT, I’M SOMEWHERE IN THAT ZONE

The lyrics throughout the first Frozen movie are hilarious, lovable, and relatable including this line from Anna as she sings “For the First Time in Forever” as she excitedly sings about the two sisters opening the castle gates for the first time in forever.

Anna is definitely a relatable and quirky character who says whatever is on her mind including musing about what exactly she’s feeling on this exciting day, she’s not sure if she’s elated or if it’s just gas, but it’s lovable and hilarious either way.

15 ALL ONE CAN DO IS THE NEXT RIGHT THING

Early into Frozen 2, Pabbie the troll tells Anna that “When one can see no future, all one can do is the next right thing.” It’s a powerful quote that resonates with the young princess throughout the film.

When all hope is lost, Anna sings an incredibly emotional song about doing the next right thing. It’s a line that provides the driving force for the final act of the movie where, even with Elsa and Olaf gone, she drives herself to free the people of the forest and destroy the dam.

14 DON’T RUN INTO FIRE

During a pivotal and action-packed sequence in Frozen 2, Elsa battles against the elemental spirits of the forest. Before she can calm the fire spirit, she has to run into the blazes of the forest, with Anna closely following her.

Elsa scolds her, telling her younger sister that she shouldn’t follow her into the fire. Anna gives a surprisingly deep and complex line that also stated the obvious: “If you don’t want me to run into fire, then don’t run into fire.” Clearly, Anna will support her sister no matter what.

13 LET’S MAKE A BIG SNOWMAN LATER

During the first couple of scenes of the hit sequel, Anna and Elsa are playing together before listening to a story from their father, which will prove to be critical for the rest of the narrative.

In a heartwarming moment, Anna demonstrates she’s always going to be just a kid that wants to hang with her sister, whispering that the two should big a big snowman later. It’s also a loving nod to Olaf, their future friend.

12 REINDEERS ARE EASIER

Kristoff has his own personal struggles through the sequel as he tries to confess his complete love for Anna and propose. He’s always been socially awkward and usually, Sven has been his one true companion.

Linking to his own ballad and his new friendship with Ryder, Kristoff mentions multiple times that “Reindeers are easier.” Despite his ease with the animals compared to people, he still manages to propose, even though he struggles with the emotional sentiments.

11 A BRIDGE HAS TWO SIDES

It seems obvious to suggest that a bridge has two sides, but this quote from Elsa demonstrates just how connected the two sisters really are. The duo has to build a bridge between two people.

Not only does the line indicate the grand finale, where the two sisters will separate in order to form a larger connection, but it’s also a very personal moment about how the two sisters have defined the Frozen franchise together.

10 SOME PEOPLE ARE WORTH MELTING FOR

Perhaps one of the sweetest lines in the entire movie, Olaf says this as he slowly begins to (literally) melt. It is so incredibly heartwarming of Disney to create a character like Olaf the Snowman, who is utterly selfless and willing to suffer in order to be there for his friends.

His pure heart and silly personality make him one of the most cherished characters in the history of Disney, and he teaches his friends how valuable it can be to put others before yourself.

9 YES, I’M ALONE, BUT I’M ALONE AND FREE!

This line is said by Elsa, and it carries a lot of weight. Just because a person is alone doesn’t mean they are lonely, and this is an extremely important and valuable lesson.

Many people feel as though they are incomplete unless they are surrounded by a bunch of friends, but sometimes it’s healthy to allow yourself some alone time where you can get to know yourself and feel comfortable spending some quality time with your own thoughts. This quote especially speaks to us introverts who often feel happy and content while alone.

8 I LIKE WARM HUGS!

Our favorite snowman introduces himself as a character by saying “Hi, I’m Olaf and I like warm hugs!”. Fans automatically fell in love with this little guy after he said this. Olaf is warm, friendly, and can appreciate a good old hug.

In this day and age, it is rare to see someone who is so open with their desires, and Olaf’s sole desire is to make his friends happy and to experience as many warm hugs as possible.

7 I’M RIGHT OUT HERE FOR YOU, JUST LET ME IN

Frozen is a beautiful movie because of all the pure relationships fans get to watch grow throughout the movie. There are so many incredible bonds in this Disney hit, but the most heartwarming bond of all is between Elsa and Anna.

While most Disney movies tell the love story that develops between a prince and a princess, Frozen reveals the beautiful love shared between sisters. All Anna wants is to connect with her older sister, and even though it’s difficult for Elsa to let Anna in, Anna puts aside her frustration and tells Elsa that she is going to be there for her sister no matter what. Now that is pure unconditional love.

6 LOVE IS PUTTING SOMEONE ELSE’S NEEDS BEFORE YOURS

This is such a meaningful quote from Frozen because it teaches the importance of being selfless. Olaf knows that life is more meaningful when you put aside your own needs and instead focus on the needs of the people you love most.

This doesn’t mean you should neglect your own dreams, but when you truly love someone, you want them to be happy and you will be willing to sacrifice for them. Although Frozen may seem as though it is a movie about magic powers and eternal winters, it is really a film that is all about love.

5 AN ACT OF TRUE LOVE WILL THAW A FROZEN HEART

Frozen seems to follow the usual Disney formula in some ways here, yet at the same time, it breaks the norm and rebels against the same old “happy ending” story fans are so used to seeing in these films. Instead of this “act of true love” revolving around a romantic relationship, this unconditional love revolves around sisters.

It proves to audiences that “true love” doesn’t have to be between lovers and that the relationships you have with your family and friends are just as important as the one you have with your romantic partner.

4 I NEVER KNEW THAT WINTER COULD BE SO BEAUTIFUL

Often winter is usually given a bit of a bad rep. Winter indicates cold and gloomy weather where one must spend the season indoors, while summer feels more carefree and relaxed. Yet this quote seems to have a deeper meaning behind it than how it is originally perceived.

Instead of just being about winter, this quote seems to imply that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places and that you should never judge a book by its cover.

3 IT HAS TO BE TODAY

What better day than today to begin the rest of your life? Oftentimes, people put off the important things and they set aside their goals and ambitions for another day.

It is this thought process that makes people shy away from achieving everything they’ve ever wanted out of life so this is the perfect quote to prove that there is no time better than the present to make things happen. It has to be today!

2 YOU CAN’T MARRY A MAN YOU JUST MET

This quote is a total dig at Disney and it’s kind of hilarious. Fans have always found it quite odd that Disney would create characters who would end up getting married to each other within five minutes of their first meeting. Now, Elsa is finally telling it like it is and putting an end to that unhealthy trope.

Elsa is showing her sister that she really cares about her well-being and she wants her to live a happy life. Fans really appreciate the fact that Disney is finally creating films that focus on strong female bonds rather than the hostile and competitive ones that audiences have seen so many times before.

1 LET IT GO

So this one is easily the most popular Frozen quote, and it is so often repeated for a good reason. For one, it’s the lyrics to the most catchy song in the musical, but it also represents freedom and being true to yourself. Elsa felt as though she had to suppress her true identity throughout her whole life and now she is finally able to “let it go” and be authentic.

She loves every moment of it, and she teaches the audience that people should stop concealing their identities and repressing who they really are. It isn’t until people can reveal their true selves to the world that they can finally be set free.
