But there’s so much more in development for fans to get excited about! Check Out: Monsters At Work

Monsters At Work is a sequel to Pixar’s beloved Monsters Inc., which continues the story of fan-favorite characters Mike and Sulley while introducing a new band of colorful creatures characters that operate the MIFT department. Things are a lot different at Monsters Incorporated now that the laugh floor is in operation.

This is a really fun sequel series that demonstrates how much Disney can achieve through the use of the streaming platform. Character arcs continue, long-standing questions are answered and there are some fantastic cameos that are sure to please fans of the original film and its prequel, Monsters University.

Check Out: Olaf Presents

Olaf is by far one of the most popular characters in the Frozen series so it’s no surprise that he has his own spin-off on Disney+. What’s more, Olaf Presents, which consists of shorts around 5 minutes long, is actually inspired by a hilarious scene from Frozen 2, where he re-enacts the events of the initial film.

Here he’s taking on a number of Disney classics, from The Lion King to Moana. Each short is packed full of great jokes and there are a few characters from across the series that help Olaf tell his unique stories. Don’t binge them all at once though, they are definitely to be savored!

Check Out: Tangled The Series

Although not a Disney+ exclusive like all of the other properties here, Tangled The Series, a spin-off of the beloved 2010 movie Tangled, has found a home on the streaming platform and is all the better for it. The show is a wonderful visit to the world that fans fell in love with to start with.

Check Out: High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

Creating a sequel to the massively successful High School Musical film series was always going to be a difficult task. Yet Disney took a different approach, forming a concept that saw high school students re-enact the films for their own stage production.

That initial idea has blossomed into something much bigger, as the group of performers has become much-loved characters in their own right. Launching new Disney stars like Olivia Rodrigo and paying homage to the original teen classic, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is perhaps one of the best showcases of what Disney+ has to offer in regards to innovative opportunities for storytelling.

Get Excited For: Zootopia+

Disney+ won’t be slowing down though when it comes to continuing on with their magical stories. Zootopia+ is a unique set of short films from the Zootopia property, that focuses on a variety of familiar characters, each in their own corner of the animal paradise.

The animation style is sure to be the same and while it will be exciting to see what the Zooptopia leads are now getting up to in their new lives, there’s something enchanting about the odd city that the original film takes place in. The show will definitely give further insight into how this society actually functions and what further adventures await Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps.

Get Excited For: National Treasure

The National Treasure series has only had two installments thus far but audiences are absolutely hungry for more. The performances in the original are outstanding and truly funny, while the adventures the leads actually go on are enthralling.

While another film is in the works Disney has confirmed that a TV show is on its way set in the same universe, and they have even cast its lead! There are so many historical mysteries to explore, there’s no telling what major discoveries the series will unearth.

Get Excited For: Pirates Of The Caribbean

The Pirates Of The Caribbean brand is never truly dead and Disney is always looking at ways to revamp the property. Most fans would likely hope that any upcoming films or shows coming to Disney+ would at the very least stay within the same continuity as the originals.

A sixth version of the Pirates series is in development and there’s sure to be other reboot-esque projects heading to Disney+. With so many rumors swirling about potential leads, from Margot Robbie to Karen Gillan, it’s easy to get excited about all the possibilities.

Get Excited For: Tiana

The Princess And The Frog is a gorgeous film that happily ended much in the same way as every other Disney fairytale, but there’s still so much potential in the film that Disney is now working on a spin-off TV show, Tiana, centered on the lead character’s continued life after the movie.

The production is likely to see Tiana running her dream restaurant and is sure to feature plenty of relationship trouble as the prince and his princess try living together properly for the first time. Such a vibrant tale definitely deserves another chapter, especially in its unique 2D hand-drawn animation style that’s so rare today.

Get Excited For: Baymax!

Big Hero Six introduced the world to the lovable robot Baymax, who will be starring in his own titular series. A trailer for Baymax! has already been released for the show which seems to point to more comedic antics from the health care assistant.

While Baymax may always seem out of his depth, he goes above and beyond for his patients. There’s no telling if more superhero antics are in store, but what is clear is that Baymax doesn’t necessarily need his friends around him to be entertaining, but here’s hoping they do make a small appearance!

Get Excited For: Moana

Moana was another modern hit for Disney and perhaps the most recent animated fantasy film with the most area to build from. Moana herself had only just begun her journey as a leader amongst her people, as they set sail for new horizons.

With so much mythology to draw from, there’s going to be no shortage of interesting adventures to depict. From other gods and monsters to potential crossovers with other legendary characters from Disney’s past, Moana’s show might be one of the most exciting upcoming projects yet.
