Cancer signs known for their sentimentality, so they will love anything that reminds them of another, simpler time. In that vein, they will totally love the 1993 rom-com Sleepless In Seattle.

This Nora Ephron classic stars Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks (who also starred in You’ve Got Mail together) and it’s a super romantic, innocent movie. The film can’t be described as anything other than “sweet” and since Cancer signs are sensitive, they will enjoy this film.

9 Hate: Man Up (2015)

In this 2015 movie, Simon Pegg and Lake Bell are strangers named Jack and Nancy who start talking because Jack thinks that Nancy’s the person he’s meeting for a blind date.

Since Cancer signs aren’t that comfortable with strangers, they would dislike this movie immediately. It just wouldn’t be a premise that they could get behind.

8 Love: Drive Me Crazy (1999)

Cancers will love the 1999 movie Drive Me Crazy since they love being at home and this movie is about two next-door neighbors, played by Adrian Grenier and Melissa Joan Hart, who fall in love.

7 Hate: When In Rome (2010)

Kristen Bell’s 2010 romantic comedy When In Rome won’t be one that Cancers want to watch. Beth’s sister is getting married so she goes to Rome, which is where the movie would lose Cancers immediately.

This zodiac sign is definitely a homebody and they wouldn’t understand why someone wouldn’t want to get married close to home.

6 Love: Definitely, Maybe (2008)

Since Cancers love their family, they would love a romantic comedy that focuses on an adorable little girl and her dad. The 2008 movie Definitely, Maybe is perfect for them.

Abigail Breslin’s character Maya asks her dad Will (Ryan Reynolds) how he fell in love with her mom, which leads him to tell her a bunch of different love stories. It’s a cheesy movie, that’s for sure, but this zodiac sign will love seeing the bond between father and daughter.

5 Hate: Can You Keep A Secret? (2019)

Adapted from the Sophie Kinsella book, the 2019 movie Can You Keep A Secret? stars Alexandra Daddario as Emma, a woman who tells a stranger on a plane everything about her past. While it can be totally hilarious when a character spills secrets in a nervous rush, Cancers won’t see it this way.

This is a movie that Cancers will hate because they don’t like talking about private subjects. It’s hard for them to open up so they won’t understand why Emma does exactly that.

4 Love: Sweet Home Alabama (2002)

In the 2002 movie Sweet Home Alabama, Reese Witherspoon plays Melanie, a fashion designer who returns home to finally divorce her first love, Jake (Josh Lucas), because she wants to marry a much different, more sophisticated kind of guy (Patrick Dempsey).

Since Cancers are all about home, family, and being emotional and nostalgic, they will love this romantic comedy. It definitely has its charming moments, even if it’s as predictable as these movies tend to be.

3 Hate: When We First Met

The Netflix rom-com When We First Met came out in 2018 and stars Alexandra Daddario and Adam DeVine as best friends Avery and Noah… but Noah wants more from their relationship.

Cancer signs are really loyal, so they might have a hard time understanding why Avery wouldn’t see what’s right in front of her — that Noah would be really good partner for her. It’s a pretty frustrating movie since Avery is pretty oblivious, and Cancers will feel super upset on Noah’s behalf.

2 Love: Home Again (2017)

Home Again is one of the best rom-coms for Cancers since it encompasses so many things that they love: home, emotions, family, and loyalty. Alice (Reese Witherspoon) is definitely having a mid-life crisis now that she’s 40, and she invites some young filmmakers to live in her guest house.

This a movie about family that can be created, dreams that can be reached at any age, and unexpected love. There are also a lot of sweet moments between Alice and her daughters, which this zodiac sign will love.

1 Hate: 500 Days Of Summer (2009)

Cancers have imaginations that they really enjoy, and they can dream bigger than a lot of others. That’s why they will hate the rom-com 500 Days Of Summer.

This movie, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Tom and Zooey Deschanel as Summer, has many fans, but Cancers will hate that Summer doesn’t think that love is a real thing and that she toys with Tom’s feelings. The romantic water sign will want to swim past this one.
