Jackie Sandler

For a lot of people, meeting the love of their life at work is an ideal prospect. Even more so, meeting them on the set of a film. Adam Sandler met Jackie Sandler (née Titone) on the set of the 1999 film BigDaddy, forming a relationship from there.

Further on, the pair have worked on numerous films together, with the latter often having cameo roles in her husband’s movies. She doesn’t tend to play the love interest of Sandler’s characters, with appearances in Murder Mystery as a flight attendant and in Grown Ups as wife to one of Lenny’s rivals. However, in Just Go With It, she played a snobbish bride-to-be to Sandler’s character of Danny.

David Spade

Seemingly, Adam Sandler has close friendships with the people he regularly works with on-screen. David Spade is one such actor and their bond is reflected in one of the best films written by Adam Sandler, Grown Ups, and its sequel, Grown Ups 2.

While he also starred as one of the main characters in The Do-Over, Spade has sometimes taken a back seat, with smaller roles like General George Armstrong Custer in The Ridiculous 6, which parodied the classic Western genre.

Steve Buscemi

Considering Steve Buscemi has had his fair share of serious roles, including portraying Mr.Pink in Reservoir Dogs, it may be a surprise for fans to see him pop up in numerous Adam Sandler comedies. Nonetheless, his acting proves to be just as good in this genre as in any other.

After meeting on Airheads, the two became friends and Buscemi took up many roles in Sandler’s movies. His work includes playing Danny McGrath in Billy Madison, Wiley in Grown Ups and Clint Fitzer in I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry.

Drew Barrymore

Whilst most of Sandler’s movies are steeped in comedy, they aren’t usually without a love interest and his romcoms always feature a down-to-earth thread amongst the madness that audiences love to see.

Drew Barrymore has played the love interest in three of Sandler’s movies. It started with The Wedding Singer in 1998, followed by one of the best Adam Sandler comedies, 50 First Dates, in 2004, which showed a more complex relationship, as Lucy (Barrymore,) had short-term memory loss. Most recently, in 2014, they acted alongside one another in Blended. Their work may be spread across 16 years, but their on-screen chemistry has remained intriguing, with Barrymore always bringing a sensitivity to her roles.

Chris Rock

Chris Rock has become a welcome staple in Adam Sandler’s movies, only ever enhancing them. Rock found his place firmly in the two Grown Ups movies, which allowed him to prove his range of acting skills in playing Kurt, an emotional yet hilarious stay-at-home father.

Prior to these movies, Chris Rock took up the part of Caretaker in The Longest Yard and his memorable performance saw him deservedly win a BET award for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Theatrical Film. With many other parts in Sandler’s movies, the pair have become associated with each other.

Jennifer Aniston

Drew Barrymore may have appeared as Sandler’s love interest in three of his movies, but there needed to be an actor who would take that role in a couple of others. Jennifer Aniston was the actor for the job.

The duo first took to the screen together in Just Go With It in 2011, as the pair that started out as friends but soon developed a closer relationship. In 2019, Aniston played a leading role in Murder Mystery as Nick’s (Sandler) wife, Audrey. With a sequel on the way, fans will be delighted to see the duo reunite.

Kevin James

Kevin James is an actor whose name immediately comes to mind at the mention of Adam Sandler. James always perfectly fits any character he is given in a Sandler movie, never failing to bring the comedy.

With a plethora of works to choose from as Adam Sandler and Kevin James’ best movie collaborations, it’s evident why they continue to work together. Hubie Halloween is the most recent film James appeared in with Sandler, where he played a police officer. But the duo haven’t just acted in live-action movies together. The first three Hotel Transylvania movies feature both Sandler and James in voice-acting roles, proving them both competent voice-over artists.

Nick Swardson

In 2003, Adam Sandler noticed Nick Swardson’s Comedy Central special and decided to get him involved with his work. Whilst his roles are often small, they are always uproariously funny, still having a great impact on the movie.

His credits include Jack And Jill and Bedtime Stories, but perhaps most notably, he appeared in Just Go With It as the bizarre Eddie, still managing to bring a loveable side to the character.
