The world of Dragon Age: Inquisition is vast and complex. The game features one of the largest and most ambitious open worlds in any RPG and provides hours upon hours of content for fans to enjoy. Players journey across the Kingdom of Ferelden and the Empire of Orlais, fulfilling quests, closing rifts, killing demons, and advancing the Inquisition’s interests.

With so much to do, it’s only logical that some of Inquisition‘s more niche details slip through the cracks. Whether they’re quests, pieces of banter, items, or cutscenes, these aspects of the game may remain hidden for most players.  However, they’re still worth the time, even if just for a laugh.

9 Sera’s Cookies

Sera isn’t the most beloved companion in Inquisition. In fact, some players outright dislike her for her immature and loud personality. As such, they never take the time to earn her approval, preventing them from experiencing some of her high friendship-specific cutscenes.

One of them only triggers if her approval reaches the upper levels and involves her telling some details about her upbringing. The scene also includes some apparently awful raisin cookies and Sera’s confession that, against all odds, she likes being part of the Inquisition.

8 Specific Banter

With so many characters and multiple hours of gameplay, it’s logical that not all players will get to listen to every possible piece of banter in the game. Some banter requires specific characters together to trigger. For example, taking Dorian, Vivienne, and Solas will result in the first two criticizing the latter’s outfit. Solas and Bull will also engage in a game of mental chess, and Cole will ask random and at times endearing questions, like when he asks Dorian if he’s handsome.

The three advisors also get banter of their own, but players won’t hear it unless they spend considerable time at the War Table. Their banter includes Josephine and Leliana making fun of Cullen for styling his hair and references to past games, like Leliana’s possible relationship with the Warden.

7 Sutherland And Company

Sutherland and Company is a group of mercenaries that can become a great asset for the Inquisition. However, the path is considerably long and requires a total of nine quests before they reach their full potential. Each new quest triggers depending on the result of the previous one, and if the player chooses the wrong advisor to complete them, then a new one might not get triggered at all.

The first quest, titled Sutherland and Company, triggers once the Inquisitor reaches Skyhold. The entire chain takes considerable time to complete, and some players might lose interest, considering the rewards aren’t that significant.

6 The Big One?

Like many others in the game, this quest only triggers after the player meets specific criteria. First, they need to buy the Mysterious Box from Deraboam in Val Royeaux. Then, they need to interact with the golden Nug statue that appears, thus unlocking the War Table operation.

Completing the operation with any advisor will unlock five exotic Nug-like mounts, each one more bizarre than the previous one. The Tiddles Majoris is particularly appealing, thanks to its vibrant golden coloring.

5 Bedding Orlesian Nobles

One of the most entertaining parts of the game is the many romantic options for the Inquisitor. However, players may choose to remain single, in which case they are free to have a brief liaison with an Orlesian Minister. As part of Josephine’s quest, Of Somewhat Fallen Fortune, the Inquisitor needs to elevate a minor family, the Du Paraquettes, into nobility. She needs the endorsement of an Orlesian Minister, though, and the Inquisitor help to get it.

The Inquisitor can offer soldiers, connections, or information to the Minister. They can also seduce Bellise and spend the night with her, which makes for an entertaining cutscene.

4 The Wedding

Alliances: From the Heart is a quest that requires specific criteria to trigger. It requires the completion of both Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts and Here Lies the Abyss. The player also needs to complete two operations, Alliances: Reaching Ever Upward and Alliances: Falling Into Place, both with Josephine.

The operation deals with the prospect of an arranged marriage, and each advisor has a different opinion about the arrangement. The Inquisitor can visit Val Royeaux and participate in the wedding, blessing the union. If Cullen completes the operation, there is no wedding to bless, though.

3 Softened/Hardened Leliana

Throughout the game, Leliana’s actions result in a wildly different outcome. She can either turn kinder and “soften,” or she can become crueler and more ruthless. This “hardened” Leliana will have no problem killing anyone who gets in her way, even if she becomes Divine Victoria.

Players who want to soften Leliana need to follow specific steps that go back to their first meeting with her. They need to choose dialogue options that challenge her ruthless views, ultimately resulting in Leliana sparing Sister Natalie’s life during the quest The Left Hand of the Divine. Leliana’s disposition will play a pivotal role in the upcoming Dragon Age 4, so this choice is more crucial than it might seem.

2 The Nug King

This fun bit is only accessible in The Descent DLC. To find the almighty Nug King, players need to complete the Deep Roads Expedition: Heidrun Thaig Upper Bridge quest and unlock a new area in the Deep Roads. Before entering this new area, they first need to grab a wheel of cheese found in the Warrens area of the Deep Roads, near the bridge.

It’ll take some exploring in the new area unlocked, but the cutscene is lighthearted and worth it. It bears no consequences to the overall DLC’s plot, and it’s more of a detour. However, it adds some humor to what is otherwise a very intense experience.

1 The Tiniest Cave

For the longest time, this quest remained hidden. A BioWare developer finally spilled the beans, revealing the location of a small cave in the Emerald Graves. After jumping about 50 times on top of the rocks, a voice speaks. Players must then run away and return to the small cave until the voice says, “Need more! Have to be ready!” At this point, the quest activates in the journal. After placing 10 crystal graces on the cave, it completes.

The voice then speaks against, revealing a hidden location in Emprise du Lion. Players find a chest in a secret entrance in Suledin Keep, containing the rare Ardent Blossom Crown.
