90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Paul Staehle has been unable to secure a job in America because he has a criminal history. Fans of the show want to know what he’s been charged with and if he has ever been to jail.

The relationship between Paul and his wife Karine Staehle has deteriorated in recent episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Brazilian Karine took the huge step of relocating to a new country, thinking that her husband would provide the best care for her and their 16-month-old son, Pierre. However, things have gotten even worse for the couple. Although Paul (who is American) has provided a trailer home for the family, he failed to land a job, which ignited arguments between the two. Consequently, in the recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé, Karine met an immigration lawyer to discuss her rights. She is wanting to know if she can travel alone with her son. Basically, she is thinking of going back to Brazil and reuniting with her friends and family. 36-year-old Paul is against it and threatens to “prosecute” her. Well, this isn’t the first time he would get in touch with the law. He had a few run-ins with law enforcement before he met his wife.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Starcasm reports that in 2007, the dad-of-one committed second-degree arson and was charged with “Burning Personal Property To Defraud Insurer.” After seven years, he was found guilty of felony arson. He had to serve jail time, followed by supervision, which was scheduled to end in April of this year. He applied for early probation for his arson arrest, and it was granted. In 2013, he was again charged and arrested for disobeying a Kentucky EPO (Emergency Protective Order). A DVO (Domestic Violence Order) was issued to his ex-girlfriend. In one of his previous confessionals, he said that he has been having a hard time finding a suitable match in America because “One of the relationships I was in ended so badly, it ended up getting me in some serious trouble.” Well, his relationship with Karine from Brazil is also not going too well.

Although the above mentioned criminal charges are from his past, they support his 90 Day Fiancé wife’s claims that he has been abusive. In the previous episode, she locked herself in the bathroom, which made many 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? viewers think that she was enduring some kind of domestic violence episode.

According to recent reports, just like Paul’s ex-girlfriend, Karine has gotten a full restraining order against him.
