Former 90 Day Fiancé star Asuelu Pulaa revealed the outrageous amount of money he has sent to his mother in Samoa. Most fans are already aware of Asuelu’s story, and it is a known fact that his Samoan family has always asked him for money. Asuelu’s mother and sister have pressured him to send money whenever he was featured on the show with his wife, Kalani Faagata. The first such incident happened when Asuelu and Kalani visited his mother and gave her $100. His mother and sister seemed annoyed by that and demanded $1,000 instead. Since Asuelu has a family of four, it was hard for him to give away such a huge amount to his family.

Over the years, that amount would add up to more than $15,000. Kalani stated that Asuelu cleaned out his whole bank account and gave the money to his mother before arriving in the United States.

Kalani also seemed irritated by the fact that the money isn’t just going to the family, but it is also for “bingo money, church fundraisers, church events.” Previously, the Utah resident raised a concern that her husband tried to purchase his family’s affection by giving them money. During the show, Asuelu actually said, “I really want to contribute this money to make my relationship with my family tight like yours.”

It seems like Asuelu is right to honor his culture. However, he should not do it at the expense of his own two boys, who will soon be going to school.
