90 Day Fiancé: Ben Finally Calls Mahogany Out For Her Lies

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Ben Rathbun has finally confronted the real Mahogany Roca for lying about her age and not looking like her photos on Instagram. Things have not been looking up for 52-year-old Ben, who had expected to be engaged to 24-year-old Mahogany by the end of his Peru trip. But Mahogany turned out to be 22 and didn’t even consider the father of four as her boyfriend. Ben overlooked Mahogany’s lies and the filters on her photos to keep pursuing her on the 90 Day Fiancé spinoff. However, it was catfish Mahogany who claimed Ben was “different” and not the man she chatted with online.

Ben has been looked at with suspicion for his interest in dating a woman who’s as old as his oldest daughter. Fans were not surprised when they heard that Ben was arrested in relation to a previous DUI charge. But Mahogany is also not someone who fans have come to fully trust. Due to her over the top expressions or using a translator to talk with Ben when she speaks in fluent English makes TLC viewers think she’s fake, and perhaps even an actress hired on 90 Day Fiancé. Mahogany, who never wanted to meet Ben because her father doubted his intentions, started distancing herself from Ben by questioning his past. While Ben wrote 10 pages worth of texts to talk about how he’s cordial with his ex-wife, Mahogany is continuing to feel uncomfortable and even left for San Bartolo alone after their Huacachina trip.

Ben seems to have followed Mahogany to San Bartolo instead of heading back home on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days episode 15 as per a preview by HollywoodLife. Ben brings up all times Mahogany lied to him and she, shockingly turns the tables and claims he’s the one who’s “playing games.” Ben reminds Mahogany that trust works both ways. When Mahogany asks, “you don’t trust me?” Ben tells her that when he came to Peru, he didn’t even know if Mahogany was a man or a woman. “Like who were you? Remember you didn’t give me any video chats?” Ben asks Mahogany. While Mahogany defends herself by saying it was only “video calls” they didn’t do, he added, “That takes a lot of trust to come all this way. And when I come here the pictures do look different, you know, like didn’t look the same.”

Ben then moves on to criticize Mahogany for lying about her age. He speaks about her assuring him she was “23 going on 24” and says he has the conversation as proof on chat as Mahogany tries to play innocent. All that Mahogany has left to say is “I don’t remember” or “I don’t know” because Ben is honest about him finding out her age via her parents when he met them at Mahogany’s fake apartment. Mahogany doesn’t take too kindly to Ben’s accusations. In her defense, Mahogany exclaims, “But there were also things you didn’t tell me about.” Mahogany accuses Ben of deceiving her with lies much “deeper” than her adding two years to her age.

Having heart-to-heart conversations is apparently all Ben wants to do with Mahogany before he leaves. However, Mahogany doesn’t think she can do it due to Ben deceiving her and playing games with her head. Yet, this scene between Ben and Mahogany doesn’t explain them kissing on the pier in a different preview of Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Fans know that Ben and Mahogany are still together in real life. Perhaps both Ben and Mahogany accepted they were lying and or worse, were both faking the drama in their storyline.
