Big Ed Brown returns to 90 Day Fiancé with 90 Day: The Single Life season 2 which sees him getting engaged to ex-girlfriend Liz Woods but also receiving a makeover to look like “George Clooney.” Big Ed’s had his signature look for three years, and changing his hairstyle after his breakup was his idea to get over Liz. Interestingly, viewers who usually criticize Big Ed on Instagram also seem to be loving his shocking transformation.

Right before the premiere of 90 Day: The Single Life season 2, Big Ed confirmed that the rumors about him soon getting married to Liz are true. While viewers are wondering if Liz is with Big Ed for clout, he says he’s now a changed man. Big Ed realized he wasn’t a good person or boyfriend and turned to therapy to change himself. Big Ed also worked hard on his physical transformation in the process. The former photographer hired a trainer who helped Big Ed lose 25 pounds within a few months. To complement his new body, Big Ed also debuted shorter, salt and pepper hair.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

A clip from 90 Day: The Single Life shared by 90 Day Fiancé on Instagram shows Big Ed receiving the haircut that’s unexpectedly earning him praise. The San Diego man calls his long hair from previous seasons “a mess,” but his hairstylist assures Big Ed that when all the color grows in, it’s going to be “hot.” Big Ed immediately adds, “like George Clooney sexy” before the stylist asks him to breath in and chops off his dirty locks. It’s clear throughout the video that Big Ed is excited for a new version of himself. After the haircut, he declares that he looks “15 years younger.” Check out the clip from 90 Day: The Single Life below.

The fresh-cut is a fresh start for the man as he wishes to leave his past behind with the old Ed. It’s hard to hear Big Ed admit he’s “been in the black hole” for six weeks since he broke up with his girlfriend Liz. However, it’s clear the haircut did in fact lead to the change he was hoping for. One Instagram user commented on the video, “As much as I’m over him! I really like that hairstyle on him it flatters him more.” Still, others are asking why, despite all the requests to get Big Ed canceled, he is back on their TV screens making the most of his 15 minutes of fame.

It’s hard to say for sure if the new haircut actually makes Big Ed look 15 years younger, but he certainly appears more confident because of it. Despite the dramatic change in his appearance, Big Ed will reconnect with his past soon, as 90 Day: The Single Life will show how he eventually gets back together with Liz.  Hopefully, it’s a satisfying conclusion to their controversial love story.
