Brandon Gibbs spent time with his dad, Ron Gibbs, after it was revealed that he was suffering from a mystery illness on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Brandon and his parents, Ron and Betty, welcomed Russian 90 Day Fiancé star Julia to their Dinwiddie farm in season 8. Over time, Betty and Ron became known as their storyline’s villains due to their overprotectiveness towards Brandon. In HEA season 6, Julia and Brandon moved out, but Betty asked them to return owing to Ron’s ill health. The exact nature of Brandon’s father’s sickness wasn’t revealed, but his son had fun with the Virginia man during Julia’s busy birthday weekend.

Both Julia and Brandon have appeared on Pillow Talk, and so have Ron and Betty since the emotional 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Tell-All. While Julia was chided for not showing sympathy towards her ailing father-in-law or troubled husband, she seems to have proven the haters wrong. After having spent a fun week in Jamaica, Brandon and Julia returned back home to celebrate her birthday with the Gibbs. Julia shared on Instagram that she turned 28. The former go-go dancer thanked her mom and dad for giving her an amazing life.

Meanwhile, Julia’s husband, Brandon, updated his fans about Ron’s health in a fun way by posting a shocking video on Instagram. Pest control technician Brandon wrote that he was “at the ski resort with dad for the weekend.” Brandon hilariously danced along to the song “Sugar Daddy” by Qveen Herby with his father. Ron appeared to be in the pink of health as he fanned a fat wad of cash and smiled at the camera. Julia was nowhere to be seen, but it’s possible she was filming this funny video for her 90 Day Fiancé family.

Fans were happy to see improvement in Ron’s health and made it known via the comments on Brandon’s post. “Dad’s looking healthier than last time on TV! Happy to see him looking good!” one 90 Day Fiancé viewer posted. “So happy to see you spending such precious quality time with your Dad!” said a different follower. Some fans still wanted to know how Brandon’s dad, Ron, was really doing, but he chose to not reply to any of the curious comments. The Gibbs have decided not to disclose the nature of Ron’s condition in public, but in a recent update, Brandon confirmed that his dad was doing okay.

It’s possible that Brandon and Julia could return to TLC with a new spin-off or the next season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?More on Ron’s sickness would probably be explored then. In the meantime, the hate that Julia received for rolling her eyes when Brandon appeared to get emotional about Ron’s health appears to have subsided. After all, Julia did surprisingly spend her 28th birthday with the Hummingbird Acres Farm folks. Instead of a cake and candle, Julia rang in her special day the “Russian” way by comically blowing at glasses full of cider.
