Riverknight Everett & Megan Montenegro

Megan Montenegro aired her lackluster relationship with Chantel Jimeno’s younger brother Riverknight Everett on The Family Chantel season 3 after Riverknight’s older brother Royal and his wife Angenette opted out of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off show. Riverknight introduced an older model as his potential love interest. However, it appeared clear to fans that Megan was never serious about the budding relationship. Megan didn’t even want to kiss Riverknight and used him to promote her own budding music career. The duo parted ways on the show after Riverknight saw that they were at different places in their lives. Many The Family Chantel viewers thought the relationship was filler content and didn’t think that Megan had genuine feelings for the Atlanta rapper.

Caesar Mack & Maria Devine

Caesar Mack and Maria Devine are an example of a catfish relationship from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Whether Caesar was smitten with Ukrainian beauty Maria for her youth and looks or her personality remained to be seen, but it was very clear that Maria wanted nothing to do with Caesar. She was interested in money rather than a relationship. Unlike Caesar, David Murphey did meet his rumored catfish Lana onscreen and confirmed that she was real. However, it was very clear to viewers that Lana did not return David’s strong and obsessive feelings. Lana was finally tracked down by TLC after she accepted money from David for years while refusing to see him. Though Lana was the woman in the photos David received, viewers have suspected that perhaps multiple people talked to David through Lana’s profile, for financial profit. Lana accepted David’s proposal in front of the cameras, though she quickly called things off in private when filming ended. It was very clear to 90 Day Fiancé franchise fans that David and Lana were never going to get married or so much as date in the real world.
