Having left the frenzied countdown of the K-1 visa behind them, seven couples return to face the fiascos of married life in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6. This time around though, the TLC show got bashed by fans for repeating some of its notorious pairs from season 5. But while controversy is what will make viewers reach for their popcorn, the new edition also ropes in three couples from the newly concluded 90 Day Fiancé season 8. And the trailer for the upcoming sixth season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? does promise a riot of chaos, and unmissable drama.

In true TLC style, the network dropped a surprise trailer for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, as fans kept fingers crossed for their favorite couples to have made the cut. The first look, although 2:46 minutes long, just revealed four couples, three of which had documented their drastic journeys on season 5. It was, of course, chided by fans who knew of what to expect in terms of these problematic husbands and wives, and the brand-new season piqued interest a month before it even aired. Fan favorite couple Zied Hakimi and Rebecca Parrott didn’t get a spin-off, and neither did Stephanie Davison with her rumored new man nor Andrew Kenton, which did make fans heave a sigh of relief.

The Cast

While it was speculated that Angela Deem was getting a solo fitness-themed spin-off following her massive weight loss, the Georgia meemaw ended up in another season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Joining her and Michael Ilesanmi who still awaits his spousal visa, are their season 5 co-stars Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa who’d almost broken up in the finale. Then there is the infamous pair and winners of 90 Day Fiancé: Love Games, Elizabeth Potthast, and Andrei Castravet. Tiffany Franco and her South African hubby Ronald Smith who are the more “normal” out of their seasoned co-stars, also return.

And then there is the crop of the just married couples from 90 Day Fiancé season 8, including a pair that fans thought they’d seen the last of – Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva. Alongside their loathsome married life, is the more exciting one of Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren who have expanded their family with baby daughter Mylah. And lastly, the seventh couple of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6 to be revealed was Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina, who might not be joined by Ron and Betty, thankfully.

Premiere

With the 2021 show picking up the pieces from when it last saw all of the seven couples, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? can be expected to have a storyline set during the coronavirus pandemic. The COVID-19 situation affected the lives of the season 8 couples largely, with Brandon and Julia and Mike and Natalie having weddings that didn’t match their fairytale expectations. But the upcoming season will also update fans with how the other couples have been dealing with the situation and its surrounding issues as well. Season six of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? will be premiering at 8 pm EST on Sunday, 25 April 2021 on TLC.

According to the full trailer that starts off with Yara saying Jovi is now “stuck with her,” also has Angela documenting her weight loss surgeries, having NSFW moments with a  long-distant husband who she still doesn’t trust, and flirting with her surgeon who’s Michael’s twin. Libby calls her married life a “mountain” of a challenge, as Andrei and her head to a family reunion with her relatives complete with wine flinging action. Meanwhile, Kalani and Asuelu argue over the possibility of a third baby with his mother, as the 90 Day Fiancé couple also contemplates divorce. Money matters are at large in Tiffany and Ronald’s relationship with the pair worrying that his visa may never arrive. Alongside, there’s Julia contemplating moving out as a hesitant Brandon struggles to separate from his past. But 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Julia also shows her jealous side, probably taking a cue from Natalie, who yet again is on her way to leave Mike. But this time around, hopefully it’s for good.
