A 90 Day Fiancé success story may be the rarest thing on reality TV, but somehow Mike and Aziza Eloshway prove that it’s possible. Season 1 alumni of the hit TLC show, Mike and Aziza have been happily married for six years, showing that reality TV romances do last at times. But turning their platonic relationship into a romantic one wasn’t an easy task for Mike and his 90 Day Fiancé. Here’s how Mike and his wife are still going strong, now as a family of three with baby Olivia Joan Eloshway.

Mike, a 31-year-old technical support specialist at the Cleveland Municipal Court met Aziza, 21, a student from Volgograd, Russia on a language learning website in 2012. The site had paired the two together before they showed up on 90 Day Fiancé. Oddly, Aziza admitted they used to be just friends and only developed romantic feelings after her work permit application in America was denied. Mike got his Russian lover to America on a K-1 visa, but both his friends and 90 Day Fiancé fans were skeptical of Aziza using him for a green card. “We haven’t been intimate yet,” Aziza confessed during episode 1, and Mike too thought that it wasn’t a big deal. “I still don’t feel comfortable,” claimed Aziza, even though the couple had been together for a year. This part of their relationship created a stir, and Aziza maintained she would only want to start a family after getting settled in America. The 90 Day Fiancé couple finally spent a night together after Aziza saw Mike talking to other girls. The pair were married by the end of the season with a long happy life ahead of them.

On October 5, the 90 Day Fiancé couple will celebrate their sixth anniversary. Per a comment from Mike on Reddit, the lack of intimacy was just them feeling self-conscious while discussing their private lives in front of a camera crew. “They did what they wanted with that awkwardness,” explained Mike. In January 2019, the Eloshways welcomed their first baby and announced it on Aziza’s Instagram. Mike now works at Hitachi Healthcare Americas as a Network Analyst in Twinsburg, OH according to LinkedIn. Meanwhile, Aziza was last working at an optics lab. Interestingly, all the other couples from Mike and Aziza’s season 1, including Louis and Aya Gattone, Alan and Kirlyam Cox, and Russ and Paola Mayfield, are still together.

Aziza has clearly proved her love for Mike was greater than her wanting a green card, and as described by her on 90 Day Fiancé, the timing was a mere coincidence. The couple’s only major problem on the show was Aziza’s trust issues, which could have stemmed from her age. The TLC couple has surely worked on the problem, as evidenced by their long relationship that sets an example for newer 90 Day Fiancé pairs. Now at 38 and 28, Mike and Aziza seem to be more in love than ever when one glances at their Instagram accounts. With 90 Day Fiancé’s Mike and Aziza, real life wound up being better than what was shown on screen.
