Star of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Syngin Colchester appears on the reality series with his wife, Tania Maduro. He is 30 years old and not quite established in his life yet.

Syngin moved to Connecticut to live with his American wife in her mother’s shed as the couple was not earning much at the time. Tania was working as a bartender for a while, but recently, she got into a tragic car accident. She has been advised by her doctors to rest. And going back to work anytime soon is completely out of the question, which has fueled financial problems between the couple. They have started having arguments about jobs and expenses. Syngin is unable to get a job as a bartender as he is apparently an excessive drinker. While talking to Tania’s sister, Tiana, he revealed, “In South Africa, you are allowed to have shots with your customers. But yeah, sometimes maybe I did have too many shots and get a bit rowdy.”

Tania isn’t in favor of her husband working in a bar as he “got angry with people at the bar, “did some wild, crazy sh*t” and “broke chairs” in his native country as a bartender. His drinking habit became even worse after he came to Connecticut. The 30-year-old Syngin, who moved to the States with a lot of hope, is now unable to find a moderately paying job. To top it all, he is feeling homesick and wants to go back to his family living in South Africa.

Since the time he got to know that his brother, Dylan, had a near-death experience, he wants to meet him in person. He had a video chat with him, and to many viewers, it looked like the TLC star eager to move back to his country. He regrets not being with his family when needed. So, the couple has finally decided to visit Syngin’s home country. Tania thinks that this trip would make Syngin happy and also improve their relationship. 

However, as soon they pack and leave the house, the bickering resumes. Tania brings up the topic of alcoholism as she feels that Syngin and his friends get “over-the-top” while drinking. But, her husband thinks that she is nagging and trying to control him. He wants to find his balance himself and doesn’t want Tania to guide him every time. Later on, during a confessional, he makes a shocking comment that this trip will give him some clarity on whether he wants to come back to America or not! Let’s see if he decides to come back.
