90 Day Fiancé: How Ximena Is The Cast Outlier On Before The 90 Days

Many of the women featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 were noted for their desperation, although Ximena Morales Cuellar surprised viewers by being the cast outlier. When Ximena first appeared on the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off show, fans labeled her a gold-digger who would emotionally and financially destroy naive American Mike Berk. However, Mike’s nasty temper was revealed, while Ximena redeemed herself for her honesty and composure.

When season 5 first premiered, Ximena openly bragged about all of the items Mike had purchased for her. However, she agreed to return everything after she broke up with creepy and intrusive Mike. Ximena also had no shame in her past work as a cam girl even though Mike revealed her former job in an attempt to hurt her. While Ximena remained confident in herself and worked to establish boundaries, many of the other season 5 women shocked viewers with their pushy behavior. Ximena never behaved in such a creepy manner toward Mike. However, one of the most concerning aspects of 90 Day Fiancé season 5 was how much some ladies pressured their romantic partners into being intimate with them despite their clear hesitation.

The Instagram 90 Day Fiancé fan account @90dayharvested shared a meme that contrasted Ximena to several women from her season. While Memphis Sandoval, Alina Kozhevnikova, Jasmine Pineda, and Kimberly Menzies were all overly vocal and pushy when it came to demanding sex, Ximena made it clear that she wanted to establish physical boundaries with Mike. “Ximena doesn’t have to beg for sexy time, with an unattractive, clingy and creepy fart-filled-burping [Mike],” one commenter noted. Commenters were quick to add that American Ella Johnson also fell into the “thirsty” category when it came to making inappropriate and desperate demands. “Don’t forget ella crying about intimacy,” another commenter noted.

Many fans were appalled by the desperation many of the Before the 90 Days season 5 women showed onscreen, especially since several women such as Kimberly and Alina pressured their partners into being intimate rather than respecting their boundaries. “There was a lot of thirst this season ….” one top commenter noted. Many viewers wrote that the classification of Ximena as a season outlier was spot on, as her views on intimacy contrasted wildly with the expectations of her fellow female cast members. Some commenters noted that, like Ximena, Mahogany Roca also avoided being desperate. “Mahogs is like…Who’s this creep following me with a teddy bear and ice cream?” one person wrote about Ben Rathbun.

Although some Before The 90 Days viewers blasted Ximena as a user, many others have come to completely change their opinion about the single mom. Ximena might remain polarizing to some viewers due to her unapologetic behavior, but many franchise fans appreciate how Ximena was always upfront and honest. She made it clear that she was not attracted to Mike and discussed his gross behavior with him. When Mike failed to change his hygiene habits, Ximena honestly told him that she was no longer in love with him and was reconsidering marrying him. In the end, Ximena was not the manipulative gold-digger that 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers initially believed her to be.
