Former 90 Day Fiancé couple Jenny Slatten and her Indian partner Sumit Singh have revealed that they’re both COVID positive. TLC viewers have been concerned about Jenny, 62, and her health with news of a huge surge in coronavirus cases increasing. The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star has stayed with Sumit in India’s Uttar Pradesh state since the start of 2020, as fans waited for Jenny and Sumit to get married. However, amid Jenny confessing that she and Sumit were staying in and staying safe, an Instagram post from the couple has left fans praying for the pair.

With a population of 1.3 billion people, India is currently experiencing a devastating second wave and reaching grim milestones almost every day. The country recorded over 350,000 new infections on Tuesday, as reports of the death toll nearing 200,000 surfaced. The heart-breaking updates coming from India left many 90 Day Fiancé fans enquiring about their beloved couple Jenny and Sumit’s well-being. After having moved to the country the second time amidst Sumit divorcing his wife, Jenny has stayed back for good, although resistance for their marriage from his parents still persists.

But 90 Day Fiancé star Jenny also amazed fans with how quickly she molded into Sumit’s culture, as she often portrayed through her social media stories. The couple who was on a Goa trip in January 2021, also looked happier than ever in their photos. Recently, Jenny had also stunned her Facebook fans with her weight loss secret showing how walking was helping her stay fit and fabulous. And as fans asked their favorite 90 Day Fiancé cast member how she and Sumit Singh were coping with the pandemic, Jenny had replied, “we are trying our best to be ok. Not leaving our house at all for any reason.”

But a post on Instagram came as a shock to many as the former call center employee Sumit shared a selfie captioned, “Thank you all for praying for us.” The 90 Day Fiancé alum Sumit thanked his followers for “hoping the best” and for wishing him and Jenny “good health” and asking them to “stay safe.” However, Sumit’s next sentence revealed that he and Jenny have, unfortunately, contracted COVID. “Sorry to inform you all that we both are COVID positive. We are doing okay and hoping to recover asap,” added Sumit who had recently received compliments for his younger look and new hair.

Messages asking the couple to get better soon have been pouring on Sumit’s Instagram post since then. “Sending hugs to you both,” “praying for you and for all of India,” and “I hope that everything will be OK for you,” say most of the 90 Day Fiancé star’s comments. But fans are also sure that Sumit and Jenny will be able to care for each other, and will make a speedy recovery soon. After all, Jenny has conveyed the wish of getting married to Sumit once COVID-19 passes. And hopefully, TLC viewers will get to see Sumit and Jenny’s May/December romance end with a healthy and happily ever after on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way soon.
