90 Day Fiancé: Jess Caroline Opens Up About Body-Shaming In Bold Post

Jess Caroline has been subject to much criticism since she appeared alongside Colt Johnson on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and the Brazilian beauty is continuing to open up about the dangers of body-shaming. Jess made a splash in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise when she dated Larissa Lima’s ex-husband and discovered that he had been unfaithful. Now happily married to her husband Brian Hanvey, Jess addressed the daily body-shaming that she continues to receive as a public figure.

Many Happily Ever After viewers were relieved when Jess and Colt split, as fans found it hard to see what the gorgeous red-head saw in serial cheater Colt. Colt has since married his frequent cheating partner Vanessa Guerra, while Jess found love with producer and musician Brian. Though she is happily married and not currently appearing in franchise content, Jess continues to be targeted by online critics. Jess was even body-shamed on her honeymoon, which led to her penning a well-worded response about the harsh reality of judging other people’s appearance. Jess, who is an advocate for female empowerment and celebrating one’s body, once again addressed the topic on her social media.

Recently, Jess shared a stunning photo of herself in blue lace lingerie posing outside in Las Vegas on her Instagram. The Brazilian beauty included a second photo that featured a body-shaming comment from a follower that read, “Your boobs are so freaking gross. You need  reduction! You will have so many back problems.” Jess addressed being chronically body-shamed in a lengthy caption. She wrote that she receives such negative messages about her body daily from other women. “Why is that? We are all oppressed by these impossible standards, why perpetuate it? Thankfully this no longer hurt me like it used to but it is bringing so many of us down,” she wrote. Jess urged her followers to be aware of their judgements and how their criticism of other people affects them. “When we free others from this harsh censorship, we also free ourselves. Let’s start today for a better tomorrow. Talk about girl empowerment and mean it!” Jess ended her eloquent statement. 

The Brazilian beauty was widely applauded for both her statement and her figure. “You’re gorgeous.. People pay thousands to have boobs like yours … I’m mind blown ppl hate on them! I wish I had your boobs lol. I’m sure she’s jealous too! lol,” franchise cast member Cortney Reardanz wrote. “I’m learning to ignore it. These people comment for attention. They don’t care about mental health or suicides until it’s too late. As long as you love you and be kind your karma will always be pure. Love ya girlie!,” 90 Day Fiancé cast member Brittany Banks wrote. Others voiced that Jess’s critics must be jealous of her beautiful body and confidence. “She must have caught her husband staring at your pics!” one commenter wrote about Jess’s critic. “You look good, AND your confidence is BEAUTIFUL,” another fan applauded her.

Though many franchise fans were not fond of Jess’s relationship with Colt, the Brazilian beauty has received much support for her social media presence. Though some commenters have called Jess out for her frequent use of filters, many applaud her conversations about body acceptance, female empowerment, and self-love. Unfortunately, many 90 Day Fiancé cast members have been subject to harsh criticism since they entered the spotlight. Larissa, who Jess appears to currently be feuding with, has also opened up this week about receiving criticism from fans who demand she reunite with her children. Franchise fans are calling for both women to be left in peace and not be harassed by angry critics.
