90 Day Fiancé‘s Jorge Nava made a comeback with an episode of 90 Day Bares All on Discovery+ to spill some details about his arrest and prison life that were previously unknown. Best remembered for his volatile relationship with Russian wife Anfisa Arkhipchenko in season 4, the two were married for a short time before he went to jail. The reality star was arrested on February 12, 2018, after he was discovered with 293 pounds of marijuana in his car. Following his two-and-a-half-year sentence, Jorge again made headlines for his 128-pound weight loss and is now revealing how his run-in with the law happened.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Initially, it was suspected that Jorge faced 24 years in prison, but then he was incarcerated for two-and-a-half years and described it as “hard. It’s tough. You get depressed.” Jorge was a guest on 90 Day Bares All with Debbie Johnson, Colt Johnson and his wife Vanessa Guerra. During his conversation with Shaun Robinson, Jorge surprised fans by revealing that prison was not all that bad of an experience for him. Jorge claimed prison was like high school and that he had the option to choose from a variety of meals to contribute to a healthy diet. Jorge’s prison served vegan and kosher, and allowed McDonald’s while having a popcorn machine, video games, a big-screen TV and also kittens.

In a new clip shared by 90 Day Fiancé on Instagram, Jorge recalled transporting cannabis from California. As he crossed into Arizona, officials had set up a task force to watch out for people transporting marijuana. He was in an SUV and was carrying duffel bags when he saw a DPS officer but acted coolly with “both hands on 10 and two,” as added by Shaun. When Jorge passed by the officer, he didn’t follow the 90 Day Fiancé star right away, but it took him five minutes to catch up as he weaved through traffic. The officer pulled up on Jorge’s side and supposedly ran his plates to find out that it was registered out of state before pulling him over to ask if he was drinking or had “been under the influence of some pills.”

According to the officer, Jorge hit some bumps in the road while driving, but he replied, “No, no, I’m completely sober. I don’t drink or smoke or anything like that.” Jorge continued that there was no odor in his car either.  They chit-chatted, but the officer told Jorge he was still going to write him a warning, despite everything looking good. “So he goes back to his car. So he’s sitting at the computer, writing the warning or whatever. I don’t know what he’s doing, has my license,” he recalled. During the course of their small talk, Jorge claimed he was going to Tennessee to “film something,” and at that point, the officer asked about the duffel bags. “I was like, ‘Oh, I just have a bunch of wardrobe and things,’” added Jorge, claiming that he had an alibi to answer every question thrown his way.

When Shaun asked Jorge how many duffel bags he had and he said, “10,” Colt joked that not even their 90 Day Fiancé co-star Darcey Silva has so much wardrobe. After the police discovered the weed in the car, Jorge was reportedly handcuffed and charged, and had to spend two nights in jail before posting the $25,000 bail. In May 2020, Jorge got an early release and is now getting back into growing weed again after hinting at the arrival of baby number two with girlfriend Rhoda Blua.
