90 Day Fiancé stars Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya, who evacuated their New Orleans home to escape Hurricane Ida, have returned home to share more heartbreaking news. It’s been nine days since Hurricane Ida’s 150-mph winds caused a great deal of destruction and suffering to the people of Louisiana, including Jovi’s mother and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star from Lafourche Parish, Gwendolyn Eymard. While Gwen has been raising awareness about the community’s turmoil via Instagram, Yara was criticized for going on a luxury shopping spree instead. But with Jovi and baby Mylah, Yara is now back from Dallas, and TLC viewers are wondering if she’ll give Gwen a helping hand.

Since leaving Ukraine behind to marry Jovi in America and later having a baby, Yara made her displeasure about New Orleans quite clear. On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, Yara and Jovi moved from Jovi’s downtown apartment to a suburban space in the woods. The 90 Day Fiancé couple recently sparked rumors of going to Ukraine if Yara got pregnant again and have also discussed a move to Florida with fans. But before that, the hurricane ended up evacuating Jovi and Yara to a “safe place,” in Dallas where they also celebrated Mylah’s first birthday.

As Gwen started a GoFundMe campaign to join the relief efforts in her area and raised $16,083 out of her $25,000 goal, Jovi and Yara also drove back to their home. More than 1 million customers were without electricity immediately after Ida’s landfall on Sunday. In his update, Jovi reassured his Instagram followers by writing, “We have made it home, we do have power, but limited connectivity.” Jovi added, “So most importantly we have power for Mylah.” Yara’s husband also mentioned that things are “really bad” in the areas surrounding their home.

It was a crazy thing to see on the drive in,” wrote Jovi, who posted more pictures and videos that his followers shared with him. “So many people are still without power, water, Internet,” Jovi wrote in a new Story update. “I have to say in the short time we’ve been home I’ve seen so many people helping one another and it’s amazing,” TLC celebrity husband Jovi shared. From the number of people setting up donation centers to kids that he saw on the street that have been flagging down cars to get water and supplies, Jovi applauded everyone for their service to Hurricane Ida victims, adding, “It is absolutely incredible to see the people come together to get through this hard time.” Meanwhile, Yara also posted a photo showing some of the damage and informed her followers that she’ll be posting a video on YouTube about the hurricane.

The tragic calamity had fans concerned about their beloved 90 Day Fiancé family’s safety. Yara also faced severe criticism due to her tone-deaf behavior while complaining about the long lines at Louis Vuitton. But Yara also admitted that she was scared to return home, which she now has with Jovi and Mylah amidst thousands of fans asking them to stay safe.
