Russian 90 Day Fiancé star Julia Trubkina introduced Instagram to the “unreal experience” she had with her husband, Brandon Gibbs, in Jamaica. Globetrotter Julia became a TLC star during season 8 when she flew to America to marry Brandon. The couple first met via a video call arranged by Brandon’s friend, and he later went to South Korea where Julia was working at that time for their date. The 90 Day Fiancé couple has since faced many struggles, including Julia refusing to work on Brandon’s farm and not being willing to stay with his parents, Ron and Betty Gibbs.

However, Julia and Brandon did move out of Dinwiddie and found a Richmond apartment on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, much to his parents’ dismay. Although Julia misses her “son” Simba terribly, she seems happy to be spending some alone time with Brandon. The couple does visit the farm on weekends but is mostly seen documenting their life after 90 Day Fiancé via funny Instagram videos. Brandon and Julia have also posted about their travels to Miami and New York on their accounts, and now their most recent trip to Jamaica.

Since reaching Jamaica, Julia has been sharing exciting updates of what she’s been up to with Brandon on Instagram. Her latest post shows a happy Julia surrounded by dolphins. “Guys I swam with dolphins for the first time in my life! did you swim with dolphins?” Calling it an “unreal experience,” Julia noted that the dolphins were kind and friendly. Julia also posted plenty of stories where Brandon gave their followers a tour of the dolphin cove. Pest control technician Brandon called it “an experience you’ll never forget” when he spoke of how much he enjoyed riding on top of the dolphins and petting them, and how they even gave the 90 Day Fiancé stars a hug.

Julia and Brandon fetched a lot of positive comments, ranging from “You two have turned out to be my favorite couple” to “Looks like a lot of fun.” However, some fans were saddened to see Julia promoting such “cruel activities” and also asked her to delete her post. “I am so against that…stop exploiting these poor animals,” one fan wrote. Julia defended herself by claiming, “Poor animals live on the street in Russia, and here people come to play with them and swim.” According to Julia, who also recently promoted a controversial product, the dolphins are “very friendly.” In addition to that, she wrote, “The play ones do not think that the animals that are offended will be so happy and friendly.

This is not the first time that Julia and Brandon have come under fire for the mistreatment of animals. During their 90 Day Fiancé debut, fans saw caged dogs on Brandon’s farm. Several TLC viewers called out the Gibbs family, which has been in the dog breeding business since 1998. Even then, Julia defended her new in-laws on Instagram and declared that the dogs are treated well. “They live better than many people,” Julia wrote about the dogs on the Hummingbird Acres Farm. For some fans, Julia comes across as rude and insensitive, and her unreal Jamaican experience might just give them another reason to dislike her more.
