90 Day Fiancé: Karine Staehle Shares Her Side of Story Amid Allegations

90 Day Fiancé star Karine Staehle is now opening up amid an ongoing series of messy divorce proceedings with Paul Staehle. The couple was only together for a short period of time after appearing on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days but has had a variety of relationship issues since the very beginning. Amid shocking allegations from Paul against Karine, as well as from Karine against Paul, she now shares her perspective on recent events and attempts to clarify some things with fans.

The controversial couple first debuted their relationship on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days season 1 in 2017. The two met online previous to appearing on the show and decided to give things a shot despite having a language barrier between them. Karine and Paul got married in November 2017. Since getting together, the couple has had a series of intense ups and downs. Paul accused Karine of cheating, though Karine never admitted to doing so. In 2018, it was announced that Karine suffered several miscarriages. In December 2019, Paul accused Karine of running off with their son, while Karine stated that she actually had a restraining order against Paul and that he withheld her Green Card in order to keep her in the house after allegedly sexually assaulting her. The two somehow made up before Karine was seen assaulting Paul on surveillance footage and accused of neglecting her children.

In the midst of all the chaos, Karine is now speaking out about the difficulties she has faced in relation to being with Paul. In a recent Instagram post, Karine said of the relationship, “WHAT WAS TO BE A LOVE FOR LIFE BECAME A NIGHTMARE!” Karine explained that she has been heartbroken over not being able to spend time with her children and claimed she has been away from them as a result of her divorce, saying, “The last few days have been the worst of my life, spending such a special date away from my greatest treasures that are my children is heartbreaking, and all this because of the childish attitudes of my ex-husband who I’m fighting tirelessly for divorce.”Karine noted that she considers her relationship with Paul to have been abusive, adding, “I decided to get out of an abusive relationship and I know it won’t be easy but staying away from my greatest loves is the worst of all.”

Karine claimed that Paul used their children as a bargaining tactic in the divorce, stating that after she made her decision to leave the relationship, Paul “started using our children like blackmail.” Karine said she is not totally alone in her fight, saying that she has been “lucky to meet wonderful Brazilians who are helping me at this moment, whether with clothes, food and shelter, I am already looking for my rights.” She added that the reason she hasn’t been able to return to Brazil is that her children have United States citizenship, and the process of having them leave the country is “not that easy” and cannot be done “without their father’s permission.” The 25-year-old Karine hopes that she will be able to put her troubles behind her in the coming year and use her current situation to fuel her fight. Above all else, Karine asked that people respect her and “a story that many here do not know, respect me as a human being and a woman!“

Regardless of what side 90 Day Fiancé fans may want to take regarding Karine and Paul’s relationship drama, one thing is abundantly clear: Karine and Paul should never get back together. It is a shock that the couple was seemingly able to reconcile after 2019, but it is safe to say that the situation between the two is complicated at the very least. While allegations of wrongdoing seem to have compiled on both sides, the most important thing one can hope for in such circumstances is that Karine and Paul are able to officially split for good and that the children are not caught in the crossfire.
