90 Day Fiancé: Kenneth Says He Faked Marriage Before Meeting Armando

Kenneth from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has revealed to fans that he wasn’t really married to the mother of his four adult children. Fans were thrilled when season 2 of the reality show introduced them to the love story of Kenneth Niedermeier and Armando Rubio. The franchise’s second-ever same-sex couple won hearts with their romance, notwithstanding the many obstacles that stood in their way. Now, Kenneth has been reunited with his love in Mexico.

These 90 Day Fiancé fan favorites had an online love. The pair met through an online group for gay fathers and hit it off instantly. Their large age difference was one issue (Kenneth is 57 and Armando is 31) and distance was also a concern. Armando was from Mexico, where he stayed with his daughter, Hannah, four, and his conservative family. In St. Petersburg, Florida, Kenneth also had a family of his own, consisting of a son and three triplet daughters. In addition, he is a grandpa. The two dated for three years. Then, Kenneth finally decided to make a move to Mexico. He did so after receiving the go-ahead from his family. Armando moved out of his familial home and recently shared the heartbreaking story of how he lost his ex-wife in a tragic car accident.  In recent episodes, the couple seems to be settling into their new life. Kenneth is still coming to terms with living as a gay man in Mexico. The couple seeming happier than most others on 90 Day Fiancé, fans have been wondering if Kenneth’s ex would be making an appearance to stir in some TLC-style drama.

Kenneth cleared the rumors via an Instagram Q&A, where he shared some more details about his past. Kenneth had revealed, at the beginning of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season, that his kids had been born via in-vitro fertilization. In the ’90s, only hetero couples were eligible for the treatment, so Kenneth and a female friend faked a marriage, according to a Showbiz Cheat Sheet story. Kenneth confessed to having faked his marriage in order to have his children. The reality show star told his Instagram fans, “I was never married to my kids’ mother, we faked being married.” He further explained, “To do in vitro back in the ‘90s, we just signed a paper at the doctors’ office saying we were”. The 90 Day Fiancé star wrote: “In any case, I was never married,” before adding, “I have two long term relationships in my life though.”

Not being married doesn’t seem to have been a problem for Kenneth when it came to raising his wonderful kids. As he now prepares to become a father to Hannah, Kenneth proves how much of a dedicated partner he can be. Meanwhile, fans are sending their best wishes to this 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple, hoping that their love lasts forever.
