90 Day Fiancé: Nikki Missing From Social Media Makes Fans Question Mark

Wife of 90 Day Fiancé star Mike Shoemaker, Nikki, has not been seen on social media for seven years, and fans are wanting to know if the Baltimore man is behind it. Father of four, Mark was 58 when he had married 19-year-old Nikki from Cebu, Philippines, the same city his ex-wife was from on the season 3 finale. Creepily enough, all of Mark’s children were older than Nikki, and his behavior toward her when she visited on the K-1 visa, gave TLC some of its most cringe-worthy reality TV moments. Post marriage, Mark and Nikki went completely off the grid, and while it’s understandable for the elderly Mark to not be social media savvy, 90 Day Fiancé fans are concerned about Nikki and her well-being.

There have been several infamous couples in the history of 90 Day Fiancé, ranging from Jorge Nava and Anfisa Arkhipchenko to Colt Johnson and Larissa Lima. But the pair with their 39-year age difference, Mark and Nikki remain the creepiest. From his habit of saying “you’re a fine specimen” to himself in the mirror to signing a prenup with the “young, young, young” Nikki, fans knew the TLC pair was in trouble. As Mark scolded Nikki over things that weren’t “allowed” and got her the same car as he’d bought for his ex, fans discovered that his wife was still around, appearing in photos with his children. However, as years passed, and fans kept wanting an update from young 90 Day Fiancé star Nikki, they realized she’s fallen off the face of the social media.

According to Starcasm, the latest update from Mark and Nikki was when a lawsuit they filed against TLC was tossed out in 2017. Mark had apparently objected to his portrayal on 90 Day Fiancé painting him in a bad light. This, fans feel, reduced any chances of Mark and Nikki appearing in any 90 Day Fiancé spinoffs. But fans, wondering why the couple hadn’t leveraged their fame as influencers, soon discovered an Instagram account belonging to Nikki. However, her last post is from October 2013. Recently, a concerned Reddit user shared a screenshot of Nikki’s post as asked, if she is doing okay.

“It can’t be normal for a 19-year-old girl to go 7 years without posting anything on any social media platforms,” wrote the 90 Day Fiancé fan. But another theory they raised what that perhaps Nikki is fine and still married to Mark, but simply “ashamed to be with him.” Another comment gravely read, “She hasn’t posted on social media? She must be locked in a basement somewhere against her will.” A different fan claimed what’s weirder is that “NO ONE ELSE WHO KNOWS HER is listing about her on social media.” Considering that if anyone was aware of Nikki’s whereabouts they would have posted about it. The fan wondered if the 90 Day Fiancé cast member was back in the Philippines where no one “really does social media.”

However, Mark and Nikki had interestingly met on an online dating website, showing she did have access to the Internet back home. The other older pics on Nikki’s page are also from before she came to America, but currently only have comments such as, “#freenikki,” “Give us a sign whether you’re okay or in danger… please,” “I just hope you’re alive and safe,” and “Its so sad that he won’t let her use ig anymore.” Looks like until Nikki officially puts up a statement she’s fine, the 90 Day Fiancé family will always have her on their minds.
