While the couple feuded all through the current 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5, many fans predicted their break-up. However, the TLC twosome seems to be doing just fine in spite of Syngin not being Tania’s soulmate. With an ever-growing fanbase, Syngin still continues to attract attention from the franchise’s fan community. Here’s everything to know about the South African Syngin, including his career, arrest, family, necklace-making skills, and love for braai.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Free-spirited Tania had met Syngin on a trip to South Africa she’d actually taken with an intention to meet a completely different man. The 90 Day Fiancé star’s date went bust and she was out dancing and drinking when she bumped into “cute” bartender Syngin whom she went home with that night. Their one-night-stand turned into a two-month trip for Tania who came back to America and later invited Syngin on a K-1 visa. Since their marriage, Syngin’s lack of motivation to find a job and drinking problem irked Tania to no end, which she also voiced out in front of his parents during a later South Africa trip. The couple still, patched up and returned to Connecticut where they’ve been quarantining since then. Tania and Syngin showed plenty of signs of their marriage breaking amidst heavy bickering and disagreements on the 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All, however, they still are living together as per social media.

Syngin, 30, celebrates his birthday on 28 September which makes him a “balanced Libra,” and he is the oldest of three children that includes his brother Dylan and sister Charys who’s 14 years younger than him. Dylan Colchester is a personal trainer, and Charys seems to be in school according to Syngin’s Instagram. Originally a Cape Town resident, the 90 Day Fiancé star attended Capricorn High School in Limpopo, South Africa. Syngin has revealed that he came from a poor family as his biological father left him and his mother Charmain when he was three months old, which is why he considers his step-dad Sidney as his real father. Syngin has a bit of English-Irish ancestry, is fluent in Afrikaans, and has worked in mining for seven years back in South Africa although he hated it. Syngin and his love for braai was well-documented on 90 Day Fiancé, and he’s a fan of salt and vinegar chips and lasagne as well. The TLC star had revealed on his Instagram that he was actually watching 90 Day Fiancé with his parents when Tania suggested they should be on it, and within a week, they saw a Facebook advert for it which made them sign up. Syngin himself finds it absolutely crazy that Tania’s town where they stay currently, that is Colchester, New London County, CT, shares its name with his surname.

Tania, who like Syngin, also has bartending experience was asked to stay at home by her surgeon after a fatal accident. His job interview at a local bar where he apparently got drunk with “two beers and a shot,” is infamous, but according to his confession on 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All, Syngin now works as a server. In July 2019, Syngin was pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt when an officer found marijuana in his possession. He was given a $150 fine for carrying less than half an ounce of the substance, but the arrest doesn’t seem to have affected Syngin’s stay in America. The 90 Day Fiancé regular had admitted to being “old enough and wise enough” to know when he has a drinking problem. Syngin’s hand-made necklaces are also well-loved by fans, which he confesses to making only for friends and family, by trying and matching the stone to a person’s soul.

With Syngin having a full-time job now, Tania is likely to breathe a sigh of relief. The 90 Day Fiancé couple continues to share photos with each other on their individual Instagram accounts which can be taken as a major clue of their togetherness. Here’s wishing Syngin and Tania have a 90 Day Fiancésuccess story filled with lots of braais and bartending!
