Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé, which was criticized for its scripted drama and fake timelines, recently saw its end, and TLC viewers who expected fireworks from the Tell-All were left disappointed. The latest season brought back flawed couples, including Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva and Tarik Myers with Hazel Cagalitan, who showed promise by introducing newer storylines. And while Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya also had a glimmer of hope, fans claimed Brandon Gibbs was using the show to grow his business, which is interestingly what Stephanie Davison openly admitted to doing. Andrew Kenton and Amira Lollysa’s segment was popcorn-worthy, but 90 Day Fiancé fans eventually concluded that the couples Tell All for season 8 was “boring” and “pointless.”

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

While the rumors of 90 Day Fiancé being scripted are usually shaken off by fans, season 8 was a different story. With Natalie’s acting past in Ukraine coming to light, fans saw her true crime shows’ plots being reflected in her non-romance with Mike. There was also Yara, who also acted in several similar dating shows back home, and Andrew who suggested his scenes with Amira were supplemented by “TV tricks.” And with Stephanie being uninvited from the Tell-All, the 90 Day Fiancé star also accused the show of being contrived while exposing the false storylines of her, Ryan Carr, and Harris Flowers.

Still, the Tell-All is where the real drama stars as a 90 Day Fiancé season ends, but season 8 was a snore-fest. Fans noted how most of the show was spent on revisiting the already ho-hum stories of the reason, with its grand revelations being nothing but damp. Furthermore, part 2 of the Tell-All was unexpectedly shortened to an hour, and ended with Mike’s cheating allegations by Natalie being buried by him saying Sarah was “like a sister.” It was the same statement that was already said by Mike during season 8. Amira, too, presented a narrative full of inconsistencies. Amira claimed that she didn’t know the reason for her Mexico arrest, which was contrastingly explained to her by an attorney in 90 Day Fiancé episode 12.

This was the most boring, bland, predictable tell all ever. You are better than this, @TLC,” tweeted 90 Day Fiancé fan @90DayFeyonce, with some viewers also wondering if there was still a part 3 left. “So this tell all felt like it was 70% Mike & Nat, 30% all the others. It was also relatively boring; nothing revealed. Just “90 Day Fiancé: Revisited”,” wrote @JamesElton92. Meanwhile, @jpahel23 complained, “Another awful “tell-all,” from #90dayFiancé. It was boring. As much as I want to like Amira. We should have gotten both sides of the story. It seems incomplete now.”

Several long-time fans, like @DoodleFanny, noted the difference between the earlier season and the latest one, adding how the Tell-Alls used to be real and honest in the beginning but now have started to feel staged. It’s almost as if the TLC show that started out as a docu-series following international partners on K-1 visas went on to become a manufactured telenovela. Because of this, fans have openly been saying how some of the 90 Day Fiancécast members could either be aspiring actors or faking storylines for the TLC checks. And with cast members such as Natalie and Zied already having acting experience, the scripts may only end up getting juicier.
