Justin and Evelin Halas appeared on season 2 of 90 Day Fiance in 2014. Here’s what they’ve been up to since. Evelin and Justin had a chance meeting in line for a hot dog stand during the 2013 World Games in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. Justin spotted Evelin in line and summoned up all the Spanish he knew to talk to her.

“There was an instant spark, for the next seven days I don’t think she left my side one time,” Justin reminisced to In Touch, “Three months later, I ended up going back to Colombia to see if this romance was real and by the end of that trip, I ended up proposing to her.” At that point, Justin filed the K-1 visa and brought Evelin home to America with him. In season 2 of 90 Day Fiance, the couple struggled with cultural differences and connecting with family. Justin expected Evelin to clean up after him, and she was not thrilled about this idea. Justin also hadn’t told his family he was dating anyone before he became engaged to Evelin, so they were skeptical of the new relationship. However, Evelin ended up bonding with his mother and convinced Justin to invite his family to their wedding. The pair was married in 2014.

Evelin and Justin are still happily married in 2020 after seven years together. Earlier this year, they welcomed their first child, a boy named Nathan. Evelin was shocked to find out that she was pregnant at age 35. “It was hard to believe, so the other day Justin and I went to the doctor to [get] another pregnancy test!” she told In Touch. “Three tests…all positive!” she continued, “Never imagined that was going to happen.” Justin was thrilled with the news and the two were excited to become parents. Evelin found out that she was pregnant in December 2019 and the following September, she announced on her Instagram that Nathan had been born. “After 6 hours of hard work…He came to this [world] and we received the title of parents!” she wrote. Some of the first pictures she posted had Nathan’s face covered, but she decided to reveal her new baby shortly after. The new family currently resides in San Jose, Calif.

Other updates from the couple can be found on Evelin’s Instagram page. Justin is more private and doesn’t have any social media. Evelin posted about the couple’s recent trip to Hawaii, and several pictures of their new baby. Evelin also legally changed her name to Evelyn after moving to America.
