The OG couples from 90 Day Fiancé season 1 have come a long way, and the longstanding TLC franchise has changed a lot since these cast members last appeared on the show. Over the years, the season 1 cast has had a lot of success cultivating successful relationships. This year, these couples had new babies, businesses, and anniversaries, and most of the season 1 couples are still going strong.
Back in the day, 90 Day Fiancé season 1 introduced viewers to the K-1 visa and featured different kinds of American men as they navigated new relationships with foreign women. At the time, there was a lot of suspicion from fans that those women were merely hunting for a green card. Eight years later, however, certain cast members have proven that they came to the US for the right reasons.

Russ and Paola were the most memorable couple on 90 Day Fiancé season 1, and they certainly had an eventful year. Paola followed a new career path, pro wrestling, and developed a new wrestling persona: Paola “Blaze.” She is now also sporting bright orange hair. The couple spent most of 2021 living in an RV and traveling around the country to places like Colorado, Oklahoma, and Florida. However, just before their eighth wedding anniversary, Paola and Russ announced they’re “taking a break.” They haven’t moved ahead with a divorce yet, so it’s possible that they can work through their issues.

As of 2021, Alan and Kirlyam are still a very family-focused and welcomed a new baby named Enzo in June. Their kids grew up really fast, as the couple’s oldest son, Liam, started preschool this year as well. By the look of Alan and Kirlyam’s Instagram accounts, they are going strong and seem happier than ever with their growing family.

Louis and Aya welcomed baby Stefano in 2020, so the first part of 2021 was spent adjusting to life with a newborn. This couple has been happy to stay away from the franchise because they said they were “screwed out of [their] wedding footage.” Louis claims TLC has asked them to return to the franchise, and he and Aya told them to “piss off.” In 2021, Louis and Aya launched their own business, Rustic Charm By Design, making handcrafted goods made of wood.
Mike & Aziza Eloshway

2021 was a pretty low-key year for Mike and Aziza, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have a great time. Aziza’s mother visited from Russia, and because it had been a long time since they had last seen each other, it was quite emotional for Aziza. The entire family took a trip to New York City and took in the sights in the Big Apple. Mike and Aziza’s daughter Olivia also turned two this year, and it’s amazing to see how fast she’s growing up on Instagram.
It’s been a long time since 90 Day Fiancé season 1 debuted, and the cast of the OG season has been busy over the past year. For many people, 2021 was another difficult year. However, the season 1 couples did the best they could with what they had, as there were also many happy moments for them.
