90 Day Fiancé: Who Was Jenny Slatten’s Ex-Husband Before Meeting Sumit?

A lot of heated discussions have taken place between 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans about Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh’s relationship. Sumit catfishing Jenny, keeping his marriage a secret, and Jenny still staying with him for eight years has puzzled many TLC viewers. However, many fans are also not aware of Jenny’s past. But now that Jenny is reportedly married to Sumit, here’s everything to know about her previous marriage and husband.

It’s not new for a 90 Day Fiancé couple with a large age gap to create the most drama on the reality show. With Jenny being 62, and Sumit just 32, controversy obviously followed their romance. The relationship started off with Sumit pretending to be a British man staying in Chicago while Jenny fell for him on Facebook. A year down the line, Jenny was in India, overstaying her welcome at Sumit’s parents’ house while pretending to be his friend. But while Sumit got married, Jenny stayed put and didn’t even leave him after finding out about his wife. 90 Day Fiancé has shown Jenny’s true love stand the test of time, with Sumit developing cold feet over not getting his parents’ blessings for marriage. But while this could have been Jenny’s cue to leave India, all signs say she’s now married to Sumit. But just like Sumit, Jenny, too, was married before and has three daughters from the relationship. Sadly, Jenny’s previous marriage seems to have ended with her heartbreak.

In her introduction during season one of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Jenny revealed, “I think everyone is entitled to happiness. I thought I found it once.” The Palm Springs native then shared how she was married for 15 years and everything was fine as far as she knew. “I found out he was leaving me for somebody else,” Jenny admitted before saying how it affected her self esteem. After Jenny’s divorce, life was scary for her and she didn’t think she’d find somebody else until she “got a friend request from Michael Jones” on Facebook. Further details about the 90 Day Fiancé star’s marriage weren’t shown, but her daughter Christina, who’s loved by fans on the show, has shared further information about her father on Instagram.

In a post dated June 4, Christina shared a picture of her with her father, where she confessed, “For those of you who don’t know, this is my dad. Yes, I’m mixed Black and White. My dad passed away 12 years ago.” A little later, Christina posted a fathers’ day post, writing, “Thank you for always letting me know you are proud of me. You and mom always being proud of has made me who I am today.” In the comments, 90 Day Fiancé viewers have written how Tina resembles her late father, who passed away when she was 28. “You look like your mom. But definitely more like your dad. Where was he from? Background?” a curious TLC viewer asked Chrstina, to which Jenny’s daughter replied, “Kentucky raised and moved to Orange County.”

A later post suggests the 90 Day Fiancé star’s late husband’s name was Robert. While Jenny may have been heartbroken after her divorce, she looks happy that her daughter is reconnecting with her family. Jenny has surely been through troubling times when it comes to love, mostly with Sumit’s shady ways.
