On the 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life Tell-All, Colt Johnson revealed he and Vanessa Guerra separated because of his mother, Debbie Johnson, and many viewers believe that’s just an excuse. Colt Johnson has been on three seasons with the 90 Day Fiancé franchise and he hasn’t had much luck in the dating department. He first appeared with his now Brazilian ex-wife, Larissa Lima. Quickly after, he joined 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? with his new love interest, Jess Hanvey.

Unfortunately, that didn’t last long either. Then he started dating his close friend and now wife, Vanessa. She was reluctant to get married because she knew about Colt’s past. However, at the end of the season, she accepted his proposal and they later revealed at the Tell All that they eloped.

It seems Colt still isn’t lucky, as he is now going through another separation with 90DF’s Vanessa. At the Tell All, the couple blames Debbie, but Colt has many red flags that indicate it might not all be her fault.

False Impressions

When Colt first appeared on the show, he stated he worked as an engineer and made a good living. However, the evidence seemed to say otherwise. Colt had an older car without air conditioning and he also lived with his mother. While saving money is one thing, his spending habits seemed more frugal than necessary for someone who supposedly made good money.

Aggressive Tendencies

When Colt gets angry, he’s sure to let everyone know. This was apparent at the most recent 90 Day Fiancé: The Single LifeTell All. During a confrontation with 90DF’s Big Ed Brown, he began shouting and swearing, causing many viewers, as well as co-stars, to cringe from the obscene behavior. If he acts that way in public, it’s probably safe to assume he acts the same, if not worse, in private.

Lying and Cheating

Implying he has more wealth than he might actually have or occasionally getting angry is one thing, but this characteristic is unacceptable. In fact, it’s the main reason for Vanessa’s hesitancy about getting married. Originally, Colt denied all accusations, but that changed. Aside from Larissa’s accusations about his unfaithfulness, Colt admitted to cheating on Jess with Vanessa. It wasn’t until Vanessa wanted to make amends that Colt owned up to what he did.

In the end, Colt and Vanessa probably have some legitimate concerns with 90DF’s Debbie. As viewers have seen, she has a tendency to always be around and share her opinion, even when it’s unwelcome. However, at one point, that’s what Colt loved and enjoyed. Although now it appears Colt is ready to grow up and go his separate ways. It’s still unclear how serious the separation is and if that means divorce is already an option, but viewers wish the best for the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After couple.
