90 Day Fiancé: Why Fans Are Wondering About Usman Umar’s Real Intentions

Although Kim Menzies’ behavior on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days bothers many viewers, some also blame Usman Umar for the messy situation. Usman and his ex-wife Lisa Hamme fought constantly on his previous 90 Day Fiancé season, and Kim has started to mimic Lisa in many ways. However, while Lisa and Usman were intimate from the start, Kim has been begging Usman for sex, even manipulating him by using her son Jamal’s name. However, Usman has only been fanning the flame, giving viewers more proof he’s only on the TLC show for fame.

Viewers first saw Kim was interested in getting physical with Usman when he kept claiming she’s just a “potential” girlfriend yet accepted her expensive gifts. Usman knew of Kim’s intentions as she’d already booked a honeymoon suite and decorated it, but he led her on by kissing the PlayStation 5 and MacBook Pro instead of even pecking her cheek. More instances of Usman throwing breadcrumbs at Kim happened during her Tanzania stay, which included Usman moving into Kim’s room even though he’d managed to successfully evade her moves when they were out sightseeing. Right after he said no to Kim, he wanted to hold her hand, which is just one of Usman’s moves to show he’s interested while not investing anything.

More importantly, Usman hasn’t even said the magical “L” word to Kim. When asked why he slept with Lisa during their first meeting in Nigeria, he claimed they were engaged, whereas he and Kim are not even in a relationship. He also dragged religion into the conversation. Viewers wondered what happened to Usman’s culture and religion when he was shirtless and drinking champagne in Kim’s bed and pulling off her bathrobe to reveal her lingerie.

“We will have sex when we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend,” he told Kim, showing he’s clearly the one who’ll be calling the shots. Usman should have stayed put in his room instead of getting Kim worked up. Viewers suspect it could be Usman’s trick to get more gifts out of Kim the next time she starts to get pushy about sex. Usman doesn’t see himself in a relationship with Kim. Apart from the fact that he’s not attracted to her, it could be because Usman still has feelings for his ex, Zara.

Still, Kim’s desperation is showing no signs of ending anytime soon, which also extends Usman’s stay on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Kim blowing her savings on flying halfway across the world and buying Usman expensive toys shows how much she wants to commit. However, Usman is continually toying with Kim’s feelings with his perfect formula of mixed signals, false hope, and blurred lines.
